About One&Only Palmilla
The 900-acre One&Only Palmilla sits at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, in Los Cabos, Mexico, where spectacular mountainous desert terrain rests against the shores of the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean. The original property, built in the 1950s, was a Hollywood hideaway, hosting celebrities such as John Wayne, Bing Crosby, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The present resort, opened in February 2004, is the result of a $90 million renovation.
A complete wellness spa offers daily complimentary activities like salsa, beach boot camp, Pilates and yoga, and spa treatments are performed in private villas with air-conditioned massage pavilions and open-air gardens. One&Only Palmilla has three swimming pools, including a children's pool, a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course and five lighted tennis courts. Adventures include seasonal whale watching, scuba diving, snorkeling, zip lining, horseback riding and even camel riding. Single- and three-story casas along the peninsula’s edge house 173 guest rooms, all of which face the water.

The 90,787-square-foot OOPAL Spa Services & Wellness Center, much of it outdoors, has 13 private treatment villas. Each has an air-conditioned massage pavilion opening into a tropical garden; the six double villas also have private whirlpool baths, rainfall showers, changing areas, daybeds and private vanity areas. In the main spa building there is a salon; Pedi: Mani: Cure by Bastien Gonzalez studio; and hydrotherapy circuit, encompassing an outdoor rain shower, hot and cold plunge pools, aromatherapy steam room, saunas and fruit-infused frozen towels. The Wellness Center features a fitness center with Technogym and Polar Body Age equipment and oceanfront meditation and yoga palapas.
The Mexican colonial-style spa offers a full menu of authentic, ancient healing rituals combined with cutting-edge therapies and performed by ESPA-trained therapists. Signature treatments include the Tonalli Paleuia, a sun-calming ritual that combines a face and scalp massage using chilled obsidian stones with a cooling wrap of aloe vera pink clay, chamomile and hydrating wild yam.

Travel Information
- One&Only Palmilla is a 20-minute drive along the Carretera Transpeninsular to San Jose Del Cabo International Airport.
- Private luxury car service is available 24 hours, and roundtrip transportation can be arranged for a fee.
- Guests must be at least 16 years of age to use spa facilities and services; however, the spa’s designated Family Sanctuary area features special children and teen spa services and wellness activities for those as young as seven. Contact the spa for specific policies and details.
- Pets under 40 pounds are allowed and must be leashed at all times while walking around the resort premises.
- Weddings can be performed on the Tres Palmas Lawn or South Lawn, on the beach or in a historic chapel that holds 40 people. Meeting space includes a nearly 300-square-foot boardroom (capacity: 200) that can be separated into three smaller meeting rooms, as well as a pool deck for cocktail parties and social functions of up to 240.
- The Los Cabos region is extremely arid, mild and dry. Average winter temperatures are in the 70s, while typical summer temps reach the mid-90s.

One&Only Palmilla’s diverse menu of recreation amenities provides guests with the ultimate in relaxed escapism. There are three swimming pools, including a children’s pool and play area and two infinity-edge pools—one perched on a bluff with sea vistas—and resort guests have access to a swimmable beach. Tennis fanatics can have a ball on one of five hard or clay courts, and golfers’ needs are met on the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, totaling an impressive 27 holes. Off-site sports include kayaking, surfing, sailing and swimming with dolphins; outdoor adventurists will also want to make arrangements to hike the region’s ancient canyons, dive in natural spring pools, horseback ride on the beach and in the desert and deep sea fish; Los Cabos is known as the “marlin capital of the world” with 800-plus species of game fish. Young guests will stay entertained with the complimentary KidsOnly Club (ages 4-11), comprising fun activities like Spanish lessons, piñata-making classes, cooking lessons and origami.

Suviche Restaurant offers a fun, alfresco dining experience with evening entertainment and a menu of Mexican ceviches and sushi. "Mexiterranean"-inspired cuisine is served at the thatch-roofed Agua, a dynamic eatery styled with colorful red-and-yellow-glass mosaic walls, Moroccan lanterns and a grand fireplace; diners can enjoy live instrumental performances and DJ-spun music sets on select nights.
