About One&Only Ocean Club
The One&Only Ocean Club resort is located on Paradise Island, the five mile-long, nine mile-wide strip just across the water from Nassau Harbor. Spectacular, intricately landscaped gardens inspired by those at Versailles and a 12th-century Augustinian cloister shipped piece by piece from France offer an Old World feel at the 34-acre resort. Guest rooms are in four distinct areas: two hotel wings, garden cottages, and residential villas, overlooking the infinity pool and sea. The spa has eight treatment villas, and a state-of-the-art fitness center features Technogym equipment and free daily yoga and Kinesis classes.
Water sports abound, with diving, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, and windsurfing, as well as swimming at the beach or in one of the two pools. Other activities include golf on the 18-hole Tom Weiskopf-designed course, tennis, complimentary bicycles for touring the island, and visits to the nearby Atlantis casino.

The 12,500-square-foot One&Only Spa has eight Balinese-style treatment villas with teak massage tables, air-conditioned massage pavilions, waterfall showers, plus daybeds and jetted tubs in private gardens. After each treatment herbal teas and fresh fruit are presented in a tea ceremony. Separate men's and women's locker rooms are available, as are two salon suites.
Spa treatments combine traditional Asian techniques with natural Bahamian spices, fruits, and minerals, as well as Elemis and La Therapie products. Signature services include the Elemis Aroma Spa Seaweed Massage and the One&Only Massage, which employs two therapists and incorporates various massage styles: shiatsu, Thai, lomilomi, Swedish, and Balinese. The spa celebrates families with tandem treatments like the Mother and Daughter Paradise Massage and Father and Son Chill Out Massage (minimum spa age is 13).

Guests have a selection of accommodation layouts of which to choose, from rooms and suites in the Hartford and Crescent wings to residential villas and garden cottages with balconies and patios facing the garden or ocean. The three- and four-bedroom villa residences are the resort's largest rooms, measuring more than 4,400 square feet. Elegant interiors are inspired by British-Colonial architecture, with vaulted ceilings, wood furniture, and sleek marble floors. Each villa has a garden courtyard with a jetted tub and dining patio, a full kitchen with Viking range, a barbecue grill in the garden, and king-size beds. A private chef is also available to prepare meals. The Crescent Wing has 40 beachfront rooms and 10 beachfront suites. The four cottages in the gardens each have two bedrooms and an enclosed courtyard. The smallest rooms are housed in the two-story Harford Wing. Room amenities include satellite TV, free high-speed Internet access, 24-hour personalized butler service, and fresh fruit daily.
The restaurant Dune has a menu of French-Asian cuisine with a twist of Bahamian flavorings by Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The Courtyard Terrace (open Thursday through Monday) serves modern Mediterranean fare in a lovely, open-air setting around a candlelit fountain pool. The Clubhouse overlooks the 9th and 18th holes of the Ocean Club Golf Course, has a full bar, and offers breakfast and lunch during the week and dinner on the weekends. The Library, located in the grand reception hall, provides cocktails, wine, champagne, pastries, and afternoon tea. The casual Pool Terrace Café features local and international dishes, complemented by tropical drinks and rums, poolside.

In addition to free daily yoga and Kinesis sessions, classes at the fitness center include Pilates, morning stretch, cardiovascular circuit training, and muscular endurance training (on request). Sports activities comprise tennis on Har-Tru courts, Tom Weiskopf's 18-hole golf course, and complimentary bicycles. Water sports include diving, snorkeling, sailing, skiing, kayaking, paddleboating, fishing, luxury-yacht charters to private islands, and windsurfing. Swimming is available at the white-sand beach or in two swimming pools, including the elegant Versailles Pool, for guests ages 14 and older.
The resort provides complimentary transportation to the nearby Atlantis resort, where guests have access to a casino with 850 slot machines, blackjack, roulette, Caribbean stud poker, baccarat, Let It Ride, and craps. Atlantis also has 11 exhibit lagoons with more than 50,000 marine animals; the Aquaventure, a water park with pools, waterslides, and rivers; a sports center; a marina; and shops.
Wedding venues at the One&Only Ocean Club include the gardens and the beach deck. Arrangements (including the wedding license and registration, ceremony officials, cake, and photographer/videographer) must be made through a local wedding consultant, which the resort can arrange.
