Wish they offered online scheduling
I spoke with someone to inquire if they accepted spafinder gift cards (which they do) and if I could schedule a "mommy & me" mani/pedi with my five year old. We set up the appointment, the receptionist I spoke with said she had us with two techs (gave us two names, only one of which I remember) and asked for both of our names. We show up after talking up the experience for my five year old and driving twenty minutes away only to be told they only had one appointment for myself and not my daughter. I said maybe they had us under one appointment and they just needed to ask if two techs were open. She repeated we only have one spot open and never asked anyone else. We left with one disappointed five year old, and me wishing they offered online scheduling since the human side of things was not too reliable.

Above and Beyond
Not too long ago, I wrote a negative review for Spa in the Valley.I had a very negative experience with an eyebrow waxing. I was shocked when I was contacted by Ashley at the salon. She had read my review and called to personally apologize. She listened to my concerns, did not offer any excuses, and offered a free service to give them another chance. I was beyond impressed that they actually read the reviews that are written, take the comments seriously, and rectify the situation when possible. To me, this level of customer service is rare in this day and age. This salon actually had to do a little reserach to find me in order to apologize. Given this level of attention, I will attempt another visit. They offered a free additional service which was above and beyond. I told Ashley that I would write another review explaining how Spa in the Valley did not brush off my complaints and how they worked hard to bring me back as a customer. I admire their attention to detail and their desire to be competitive! I was planning to never return, but this effort to win back my business as a satisfied customer has left an impression.

This is a get them in and get them out salon. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and was given a lecture. She spend two minutes on my brows for 19.00. I was horrified at the service! I would NEVER go back. This is the closest spa to where I live and believe me, I will keep driving. Pampered???? What a joke. Left in the waiting area and the scooted out....

Massage in the Valley
The place is clean and has a good atmosphere to relax. Almost every time I visit to get a massage, I get different massage therapist because the one that I am used to is in training or not available. With that I've tried different therapist and each has her own style. Among the many times I've been here, there was only one time that I was not satisfied. This was when the therapist short me 5 minutes on my massage. Recently, they closed their sauna and eucalyptus room which are my favorites. I go here with my girlfriends because we enjoy those amenities. Now, we will have to find and try other spa places.
As with all businesses, amenities need to be updated in order to accommodate its valued clientele. As of December 1, 2012, we had to temporarily close our Tuscan Hydrotherapy Suite so that this valued amenity can be updated and revitalized. It is a guarantee that this amenity will re-open Summer 2013, and we are excited about what the final result will provide our clients in the way of relaxation and a tranquil escape.

I don't go to the spa often, but when I do, it's always to Spa in the Valley. While there I have had facials as well as manicures and pedicures. Getting a facial is such a relaxing experience...from the use of the Tuscany Room with the jetted pool and eucalyptus steam room, to the private escort to the treatment room with its decor that makes you feel that you have left the spa and are at a private resort. I highly recommend services here.

This spa is truly amazing, from the clean and calm atmosphere, to the expertise of the personnel. I have had facials and massages, there...and loved my experience(s). Beth, my esthetician, works with eminence products and is incredibly gifted! The creme-de-la-creme is the Tuscan Room, which features a swedish shower, a eucalyptus steam room, sauna, and warm jetted pool that can fit up to 15 people. I totally recommend this spa to anyone who wants to try something new and otherworldly!

I have tried many salons in the area, and by far this has been one of the best experiences. I have never had such a beautiful manicure and pedicure. My technician's name was Lana and she has done a wonderful job. I never had anyone who has been so thorough and professional. Strongly recommend!

Dirty place and Rude staff
I my sister got me a gift certificate for my birthday. I walked in the place the reseptionist was extreamly rude i had a condition (having dislocated disk on my spine and just needed a little extra care that i was refused. I made it to the tuscan room which had a horible smell of mold that was noticable by sight as well. The masage therapist was 15 min late for the appointment, so my actual masage was 45 min instead of 60, because she had another costumer waiting for her. I would not spend my money there! It is not worthed!!!

So relaxing-Amazing Customer Service
My bridesmaids and I went to Spa in the Valley to get our nails done before my wedding. The specialty pedicures are amazing! There's nothing better than sipping wine while getting a parafin dip. Guaranteed to leave you feeling relaxed. Once we left the spa I noticed that I messed up one of my nails. They were able to fit me in first thing the next morning and the woman who touched my nail up refused to take anything for it. I'll definitely be returning!

So relaxing with extra amenities!
The swedish shower, sauna, steam room, and large whirlpool tub made this spa over the top. Reasonable pricing with all of those extras for included. Would recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful relaxing day. Even if you get one service you can spend an hour before in the tuscan room, so it's really 2 hours of relaxation instead of just one!

Mediocre at best.
There was nothing super special about this spa. The atmosphere was not like that of a spa... more of a street salon. The swedish shower and spa were not as relaxing as boasted and the staff wasnt very friendly. It seemed like their job was to get you dont and move onto the next. It is likely that I wont return.

No more tears for me at the spa.
Over the past few years I went there, I had gone back many times (4) for repairs. They always have to call someone else in to fix someone else did. The receptionist has hands full. When I asked for the manager, she will tell me that is no one there and the manager just popps in when she feels like it. I did get a call back from Debby yesterday, and she said that if she does not hear from me, she will not be in until next Tuesday. Got my hair fixed at Hair Cuttery, great job, good price. I don't know about their other services, but I know my brow tint was bad, and I never get a good cut. Color is always good though.

I had some certificates to use and was really very tense in my upper back, shoulders and neck. I tried to get an appt. at the spa in White Marsh, which is owned by the same person, but they were full, so I tried The Valley and got an appt. .The Tuscan Room is wonderful. I enjoyed that for the full alloted hour. My massage therapist, Jimmy, was awesome. When I walked out of there, I had no tension whats-so-ever, and it lasted almost a week. Kudos to Jimmy, my hero! I cannot wait to go back!

I visited Spa in the Valley last week while I was waiting for my oil to be changed. i walked in and asked for a facial. My esthetician, Carly, has changed my life. She is wonderful! So knowledgeable and informative, she analyzed my skin and really treated me to a great facial. I had questions about my skin and she answered them and recommended me products to help correct my issue. I felt so comfortable throughout the service and actually left the salon more educated about my skin. Not only did Carly get a new client, so did the salon. I am so impressed by my visit that I cant wait to go back. Bravo, Spa in the valley!

I visited this spa on a recommendation from a college of mine. I usually do not do write ups but I had to make an exception for this spa. First things first the Tuscany suite had a nicely sized Jacuzzi, the sauna was not on and the steam room did not smell like eucalyptus. I was told that the eucalyptus was on order and that it would be fixed in a couple of days, for this reason alone I was offered to come back and experience the Tuscan room when the oil was in at no charge. Great customer service! I then had a massage with Scott, This was the best massage I have ever had he sat me down and talked with me for more than five minutes in the beginning to find out about me and what I wanted. He made sure to hit every point that I was worried about and then some. Scott also gave me a discount for booking 12 massages in a row with him. Great customer service! I now have my massages laid out until next year thank you Scott and I will see you next month.

Best in the area
With it's tuscan room, expert massage therapists and 1st rate products, spa in the valley is my Baltimore area favorite. Expert massages keep you coming back, and everything is offered in a large, beautifully appointed salon with separate day-spa area. Just a few, small complaints: please update the specials on the website, teach you front desk girls better manners and customer service, and offer more specials and incentives.

Best Spa Ever
I had a great experience. Went 1 hour before to enjoy tuscan room with warm jetted tub, steam room, sauna. I had a wonderful massage therapist Eileen. Then took a sweedish shower 17 jets. Best morning ever.

Pool and sauna broken. Swiss shower leaks
Massage therapist was excellent. However the pool, sauna and swiss shower were all broken. No one called me to tell me so I arrived one hour early as instructed to use the pool/sauna and they were broken. Had this spa called, I could have avoided wasting an hour of my day. Sitting around in a locker room with a cup of green tea is not my idea of luxary or relaxation. This spa showed a lack of respect for me as a client and my time by not calling to let me know about the broken facillities.i woud schedule an appt with the massage therapist, again but not reccommend this facillity.

What can I say... I booked a Friday appt late-ish on Wednesday of the same week. The lady on the phone was polite and helpful. I made it easier on myself by printing their massage info questionairre from their website so I could fill it out ahead of time and put it where I couldn't forget to take it with me. Friday, I arrive to a lovely and well maintained facility. I check in, am given a robe (even though it was an XS and I'm definitely a L-XL) ushered into a lovely changing area and told that after changing I can wait in a relaxing 'quiet area' that included a LARGE spa pool (their 'Tuscany Room'). I didn't have long to wait before my therapist, Cheryl, greeted me and directed me to a private massage room. Once in the private room, Cheryl went over my Info Sheet with me and asked what areas I thought could use some extra attention. She stepped out while I shed my robe and got situated on the massage table. Cheryl returned and explained what specialty ingredients she'd added to the massage oil/lotion that would personalize my experience. We then set about my massage. WOW! Did Cheryl ever do a good job. She asked me to let her know if she was using sufficient or too much pressure. She asked me about little things along the way so she could make adjustments as she went and really paid attention to my responses. She did a fantastic job on the massage and even showed me a few extra 'stretches' I could do when certain areas are just starting to bug me outside the spa. Cheryl even researched a few things for me while I was getting re-dressed. I truly enjoyed my experience and left informed as well as relaxed. I will DEFINITELY be returning to 'Spa in the Valley' in the hopefully not too distant future for another massage. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other services as well.
