Buddha-inspired design elements can be seen throughout the spa and other decorative touches include a willow ceiling in the lobby, hand-carved granite water wall, benches and pillars by Yoshikawa, and a Sonoma cast stone concrete bench. Clients can unwind with hot tubs, a sauna, steam room, and cold plunge and sample services such as massage, acupressure, body scrubs and wraps, skin-care services, microdermabrasion, foot treatments, and waxing. very relaxing and romanticBy carmeni | February 19, 2013
Really enjoyed this place, it was my first time! The one negative that popped up is that they should pay a little more attention to the details in maintenance, there were tiles missing in the tubs and the buttons for the spa by the door were not operational..it was only the ones in the spa...no biggie just had to call for help. Great place to relax on your own, with a friend or partner!!!

Whisks You AwayBy JennyH | December 16, 2012
As soon as you enter Watercourse Way, you feel like you're in another world. A peaceful, happy, relaxing haven. My husband and I come here frequently to soak in their heavenly tub rooms. I highly recommend the bigger ones that have either a sauna or steam room included. After just one hour you will feel like you have been revitalized. Like you just came back from a wonderful vacation. :) I haven't tried their massages yet and look forward to doing so in the future.

Pre-Visit ReviewBy JulieY | June 4, 2012
Since I last visited, procedures have changed, and Reception was really helpful in getting my account re-established. They also pointed me to the online waiver forms (new since my last visit), so I could e-sign now and not have to bother arriving at my appointment extra early to do administrivia. And as icing on the cake they fit me into exactly the date/time/services I wanted with little lead time between now and the appointment. As always, great attitude and service from the staff. Will post a follow-up review after the treatments ....

Romantic, Relaxing and RefreshingBy Kelly AnneC | November 20, 2011
I brought my boyfriend here for part of our 1 Year Anniversary celebration. I booked the tub and deep tissue massage package for both of us. We started out in the 9 bats room which I've heard is one of the most popular and I can see why! It had a hot tub with jets, a cold plunge, and shower/steamroom. I love how the shower had two spout options...the standard rain/shower head type and to the right of that, the body wash spouts which spray water towards the bottom, middle and upper portion of your body. The room had three music channels to select from which were all very relaxing/zen-like.
Their couples massage rooms were fully booked, so we each got deep tissue massages in separate rooms which turned out to be awesome. My masseuse applied the PERFECT amount of pressure and it was one of the few times I didn't have to ask for more pressure 50xs (as I have experienced at other spas).
I gave their service quality 5 stars because they were extra helpful with making sure they found my SpaFinder certificate. My two printers at home were both having issues and as a result I was not able to print it out an was a tad late. I forwarded them my email and they went above and beyond to help me print it out.
We both loved it! We'll be back.

Relaxed and refreshedBy rhazeluq | October 18, 2011
I have only tried the hot tubs. My husband loves the sauna/steam room. I have yet to get a massage there. I've been there three times now (once about 10 years ago and twice recently) and have enjoyed every moment. It's a romantic place to spend with your significant other. They offered us hot tea ("Soothing" and "Energizing" flavors) and ice cold water to take into the room. It had a shower, sauna and a sitting area in the same room as the tub. You can adjust the spa jets and lighting yourself. And to complete the mood, there's instrumental music in the background (which you can turn off if you're not into it.) Also, the shampoo, conditioner and body wash they provide smells SO good! I'd recommend just one hour in the tub room. I've never needed more than that. Just FYI, you can request to have the water temperature hotter or cooler. Didn't know that until my 3rd visit. We always feel so relaxed and refreshed afterwards. Can't wait to go back again...maybe next time with a massage too!

Relaxing experienceBy epagasman-shopping | August 30, 2011
Overall a nice place to go in the peninsula for a clean and relaxing massage. I enjoyed my masseuse and would go back again. They are space limited which is unfortunate because I do wish the shower was located in a different location.

Romantic getawayBy CatherineY | June 7, 2011
I booked a massage with hour in the hot tub for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. It was romantic, but I was a little disappointed I could not book a room with a steam or sauna. However, I booked a package with a steam portion, and the massage therapists thoughtfully suggested that we save the steam for after the massage (so we started with the hot tub, then massage, then ended with the steam room). All in all, a pleasant experience!

Fantastic Hot Tubs in Palo AltoBy AllenS | May 11, 2011
Watercourse way has great private hot tub rooms. Each of their rooms have a theme and decorated very tastefully. This is a great place to soak, relax, and unwind after a stressful day at work. The prices are also very affordable (especially for Palo Alto).
Make sure to check out their website as each hot tub room has different options in addition to the hot tub: steam room, cold plunge, sauna.

Very relaxing despite the shared bath tubsBy BB | April 26, 2011
I have to admit, being a germaphobe, the idea of using a wooden tub that others have used for years sort of grossed me out. But I was happy to learn that they take their maintenance and facilities seriously and was put at ease before using their tubs.
It was a great and serene place, I would definitely visit again.

Akward- shower facilities not included after massageBy paulab | December 26, 2010
You have to ask to use the shower, then it is in the main hall bathroom. Not up to par with a SPA.

Will visit a third timeBy MarisaM | December 1, 2010
My Husband and I have had two massages here, and look forward to our third. There is a serene energy and peace at Watercourse Way.
The staff is very kind, and helpful.
We had an adjacent massage and
a separate massage.
On our third visit we've decided to add the tub prior to massage.
I look forward to it.

Nice, relaxing day spa tucked away in Palo AltoBy CatherineY | October 6, 2010
This might be one of the few spas that I know of that offers such a variety of tubs (and for couples, too). I love that they have rooms with options like steam room, sauna, cold plunge, which you can request when you make you reservation (check out their website for a description of each room and what it contains). The massage therapists are quite skilled as well. I highly recommend Watercourse Way!

very relaxingBy mochi | April 4, 2010
From the front desk receptionist to the therapists, everyone was very nice and professional. The tub/steam rooms are quite large and felt isolated (in a good way, you do not want to hear people in the room next door talking while you are trying to relax) I had a mud body wrap for the first time. The mud wrap comes includes a steam, dry brush, mud, facial, rinse and massage. This service is wonderful because you get a little bit of everything. I was very calm and relaxed after my service...I can not wait to go back again!

Good atmosphere but overpricedBy JachH | December 29, 2009
I made an appointment at Watercourse Way and paid the full amount for a solo massage. However, when I arrived, I waited in the hallway for 10 min (they started late), and then was ushered into a room with someone else! I got a massage with a stranger next to me with only a partition between us!! If I had known I had to share a room, I would not have booked this appt. Because there was someone else in the room, I didn't feel comfortable telling my masseuse how I liked my massage for fear of bothering the other person during his/her massage. What an overpriced service!!

Don't Miss This SpaBy Guinnivere | May 31, 2007
Watercourse Way is truly top notch. I was impressed with the reception staff's desire to make me a comfortable and welcomed guest. I enjoyed a room with hot tub, cold plunge (um...WOW!), and steam shower. I then enjoyed a deep tissue massage with Holly and an Epicuren facial with Candace. Both technicians were true perfectionists at their craft and I was astounded that the spa management seemed to get it right by hiring professional, EXPERIENCED staff members. I couldn't get away without a visit to the retail area which I found filled with interesting items and actually purchased things for the first time at a spa.
1. top level experienced staff
2. beautiful atmosphere with every amenity provided
3. reasonable prices for what you get in return
4. interesting retail selection that inspires you
5. not a hint of the trendy, stuck-up pretentiousness you find so common in some day spas
I just moved to the area and this was my first visit to a spa in Silicon Valley. I feel blessed that I found my favorite place on my first try! Thanks for getting it right!

Heaven on Earth!By JH1977 | April 4, 2007
Watercourse Way provided me with the best spa experience I have ever had! I had an amazing afternoon filled with 1 hour hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, 1 hour full body massage, 30 minute facial and 30 minute foot treatment (the Oasis Package). Needless to say if there is a point beyond relaxed I was there. The staff was curteous, professional and ready to make my experience wonderful. The tub rooms are completely private and beautiful, full tile with natural light and soothing music. The massage rooms are spacious and comfortable. The products used are wonderful! Lightly scented and light on the skin. Wonderful ,wonderful ,wonderful! I won't be able to visit again soon enough!

You would not want to leave!!!By lucygoose | January 6, 2007
Once you enter Watercourse Way, you instantly feel welcomed and calm. The zen-like retreat has excellent customer service and offer Spa packages with good value. Each of their hot tub and steam/sauna rooms have a unique design (one is Moroccan-inspired and one is Asian-inspired to name a few) and their massage therapists are excellent. One hot tub room for one customer for total privacy. I am yet to try their facials but I am certain they would ace that too. You couldn't go wrong at this place.
