Unique Therapies Massage & Aroma Spa

I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal and was very unsatisfied with the money I wasted. However, I guess in this case you get what you pay for. The office is disgusting, the machines are old, outdated and do not work, and I dreaded going in there every time I had. The staff were relatively friendly for the most part but they were very unprofessional and there was more than one occasion I showed up to an appointment and no one was there. I waited for about 20 minutes and then just left. Having left work a bit early to get there, due to their very limited hours, I was obviously quite upset. To make matters worse I had to call back many times to rebook the appointment before I was finally able to rebook it. The machines also seemed to be broken a lot, which resulted in waiting an extra month before being ableto book appointments. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was more like a dungeon than a spa.

We had a very disturbing time at 'Unique Therapies'. I purchased 2 vouchers for indian head massages and facials. first of all the place is a complete dive. Huge holes in the walls, no lock or handle on the bathroom door (my wife was walked in on while she was sitting on the toilet by a member of the staff). there is even a huge cutout in the bathroom wall (about 2' by 2') leading into another room where where people can easily see someone doing there business. The owner was extremely rude and the first thing she said to my wife was 'pull the chair that your sitting on from the wall' we did that and looked at the wall and it had so many gouges out of it from before . The owner preceded to tell us that she needed to take care of it by maybe putting a trim on the wall to protect it. The whole place was in terrible disarray. it wasn't clean and the ladies who did the indian head massage and facial were a joke. I have had several professional massages over the years and I can tell you from experience these women didn't know what they were doing. My wife asked her 'technician' what she was applying on her face, the lady said 'I'll tell you later', which she didn't. They charged us $22.50 tax (15%) I'll be contacting CRA and BBB.

I went in with a spafinder gift certificate for a chocolate body wrap and facial. They forgot to write my appointment in their book and were all confused when I walked in. Everything was disgustingly filthy and old. When they brought me into the treatment room the chocolate body wrap was with NESTLE CHOCOLATE SYRUP!!!!! I couldn't bring myself to let them touch me so I asked if I could just get a manicure.they grabbed their tools from a dirty drawer with their keys in it. At that point I said I was going to leave. They had already taken my gift certificate when I got there and i had problems getting it back from them. This place is NOT a spa, it's a dirty dungeon and you couldn't pay me to have treatment there. It boogles my mind that this business hasn't already been shut down by the better business bureau.
