• About Healing Waters Cosmetic Clinic PLLC

  Founded by Amanda Gorecki, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, and John Gorecki, MD, Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic is located in Renaissance Center in Durham, N.C., and offers both traditional spa services and medical esthetic procedures. The spa's relaxation room offers dim lighting and a cozy fireplace year-round. There are nine treatment rooms, including four body treatment rooms, three esthetic rooms, one medical room and one medical suite.

  At the day spa, clients change into a microfiber robe and receive a welcome footbath. At the completion of services, chimes play and clients are given a personal wellness recommendation. Day spa services include massage, Pure MD Body Rituals (body treatments), Pure MD facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, makeup (including bridal services), waxing, brow shaping, lash and brow tinting and lash extensions. Clients can also indulge in the spa's Kneipp baths and take lavender, juniper, eucalyptus and wildflower soaks.

  The cosmetic clinic offers anti-aging therapies including Botox®, Juvederm™, FotoFacial™ skin rejuvenation, ReFirme™ skin tightening, laser hair removal, VelaShape℠ cellulite treatments and SmartLipo℠ laser lipolysis. Registered nurses and licensed physicians perform the medical services.

  Treatments incorporate the spa's proprietary skin care line, Pure MD. A VIP program and referral rewards are also available.

Amanda Gorecki, MSN, ARNP

Amanda Gorecki, MSN, ARNP, president and founder of Healing Waters is an advanced registered nurse practitioner with over 16 years experience in critical care, surgery, dermatology and neurosurgery. She has a BSN from Seattle Pacific University and an MSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Gorecki has extensive training and expertise in medical esthetics and has developed a sizeable practice dedicated to photo rejuvenation, skin resurfacing, skin tightening, laser body sculpting, laser hair removal, Botox®, and dermal fillers.

John Gorecki, M.D.

John Gorecki, MD, co-founder of Healing Waters, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with specialty training involving facial nerves. He received his medical degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and completed his residency at the University of Toronto, Canada. He has also been on the academic faculty at the University of Mississippi and at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Gorecki is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and Congress of Neurosurgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Gorecki currently works for the Northeast Georgia Physicians Group where he provides the most advanced neurosurgical treatments and procedures to his patients.
