At Lord & whisper Skin Care

I absolutely recommend this spa to anyone who is looking for a quiet, cozy, warm and tranquil environment. The services I received left me feeling brand new. My skin was so soft and supple. The massage did wonders. I didn't want to leave. Everyone is professional and nice. I absolutely love the Cherry vanilla body scrub and lotion. Also, the dessert is to die for. I'll keep coming back for the services, dessert and the ambiance.

I was very excited to find out there was a day spa in my area of Brooklyn owned by a black female and was eager to go check it out. I saw the pics online and it seemed to be very nice but I know websites can sometimes show you a better view than you actually get so I played it safe and scheduled just a pedicure instead of the works right away. When I got there I was a little shocked to find out it was on one floor inside a brownstone but that didn't really bother me (I've gotten use to New York and the limited space) and actually thought it was a good idea. I'm happy to say the facility was clean and nice, a bit small but again, I've gotten use to that in New York. I do have to say that I wasn't really impressed by my pedicure, I mean it was better than I would have received at your local asian assembly line nail shops where they soak your feet in dirty tubs and use the same instruments on each client without properly disinfecting them, but you don't really have to do much to be better than that! I did feel like Lord & Whisper was more sanitary but the actual service wasn't all that good. My polish wasn't applied well and didn't last long. Maybe that had something to do with the fact that the technician was sitting on the floor working on me in a poorly lit room. She looked very uncomfortable, (she said she was the owner and that the spa had been open a couple of years so I can't imagine why she hasn't figured out a better way to do pedicures in that amount of time!) She didn't do massage, which again probably had something to do with her being uncomfortable sitting on the floor. Another thing that bothered me was that at one point she was talking to the massage therapist and when he walked away she looked at me and rolled her eyes up in her head as if the therapist was stupid or getting on her nerves or something of that nature. I think that is VERY unprofessional and an owner of an establishment should know better than to do something so immature in front of a client...that is a definite no-no!!! Says a lot about the way you run your business. Not really sure if I will return as I DO NOT go to the asian assembly lines and love to support black owned businesses, but I also work hard for my money and don't want to just give it to someone just because they have a black owned business if the service wasn't worth the price...Come on people.... there is at least 20 asian nail shops in my area alone which means WE are supporting them. Why don't we put our money back into our community, that way they will have to provide us with the service we pay for and deserve!!!

Well my girl friends & I were looking for a spa to celebrate Kim"s recent wedding. We arrived at 9:30 am on Dec 6th. We received a lovely foot bath and light breakfast. later we had fruit cheese, sangria received full body massages and facials, relaxing music service was very good. Also before departing we received a delicious frozen drink. Needless to say the new bride was glowing and relaxed and so was I. We are planing to get together again before easter. I will be back by myself next month.Thank you Kasey & John continued blessings!! Lord Whisper is a wonderful spa love the brownstone, peaceful, and soothing.

i have been reading these reviews, and they seem pretty extreme and exaggerated. I will tell you the truth about this spa. It was not horrible, but it wasn't amazing either. The staff was very sweet, however, the spa is run by one lady. She is the manager and gives you treatments. She also has one more man who works there who gives the massages. They are both young, and told me that they had recently graduated from school. They need a little more experience in order to give proper treatments to their clients.The spa had one little lobby and 2 rooms for the treatments. It wasn't very private. There was also no place for the manicures and pedicures. Those were done in the front entrance by the door, and this spa didn't have real equipment to give a proper manicure and pedicure.The massage was given by a man. It was very powerful. I got a half hour massage done, and I did enjoy it. The facial was done by the lady who worked there, and consisted of rubbing lotions on my face, and then putting on a face mask and letting that sit for about 15 minutes, which took up half of the time for my treatment. This honestly didn't do anything for my skin, and is something I could have done myself at home. It was not worth the money.I am surprised that there are no pictures of the spa on this web page. I think it is important for the customers to see the spa before they go there. The are didn't seem like an area for a spa to be in, therefor it was hard to find. The spa was located in an apartment building in Brooklyn. For the space that they had, it was nicely decorated. However, it didn't have the same feeling as a real spa would because it was in an apartment.

i do not agree with the past reviews. i dont know why people are saying that it was great. it was not a great atmosphere. not enjoyable at all. i go to many spa's, and trust me, if you want to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience, go to another spa!!!

I go to spas at least four times per year. I have been a customer of spa finder for the past two years. I found Lord & whisper thru spa finder. Spa finder is very helpful with their information. It is very obvious that everyone can not be pleased and everyone is not happy. I find it hard to believe that Kasey or any member of he staff did anything to nooostars and and TRUSTME. This is personal. I purchase gift certificates for gifts for family and other members of my church. I have purchased gift baskets and body products from Kasey. These gifts are well liked and appreciated. The homeade brown sugar scrub is delicious. The facials are out of this world. She gives your skin a glow like no other.In reading the past two reviews I did not read any mention of service or staff. There are signs. Anyway, this spa is a cozy and private atmosphere. This is what was created, this is why I go, this is why people return. Kasey..."keep going, I am glad you are here. Your dessert and homeade Sangria is like no other. The brown sugar scrub should be in every house hold bathroom. The facial....well you know all about that. I leave you incharge of that." Keep going. I will continue to support your Spa. You must know that when people have negetive things to say about you and nothing positive. That says more about them than it does you. Who ever "nooostars and TRUSTME" are obviously see the potential in you and your spa. That is GOOD. GOD is GOOD. They are right. The sky is the limit!

Lords and Whisper was one of the best spa that I have ever been. It was like being in a beauitful home on some exotic island . The staff is top rate and they make u feel like family. When times are hard and u still want to pamper yourself, Lords and Whispers is worth every penny.

I have been going to Lord and Whisper consistantly since July and I always leave feeling better than when I came in. Kasey is very knowledgeable on skin care and she is very professional and reasonably priced. If you want a great facial in a warm and inviting environment this is where you need to be.

I have been here many times and have always had excellent and quality service. The spa is always clean, neat, and friendly. Lord & whisper provides a personal and personal atmosphere. I come every other month and will continue to do so. To each his own.

my friend and I were so excited to go to a spa, and as soon as we got there we realized that this was not the type of spa we wanted to go to! we walked into an apartment building, and the "spa" was in someones apartment. it only had 2 little rooms. the treatments weren't that great, and the prices were too much. we were not happy with the service of this spa, and we were not satisfied. i do not reccomend going here. and i do not agree with the previous reviews.
