Located in a five storey building overlooking a square famous for the Spanish steps and the luxury brand retail outlets, a spa garden is located at the back of the building and is a unique feature of this day spa. The spa environment has been specifically designed to perform professional aesthetic treatments and treatments include: full body massage, Candle oil massage, couple's massage, Herbal stamp or Hot stone massage, facial lifting using aesthetic machines, body microdermabrasion scrub, facial deep cleansing, pedicure and manicure, waxing, body wrap, sessions with Anti-cellulite machine and other special offers and packages on request. Products used: Dermastir. Dermastir products are produced in France by Alta Care Laboratoires. The company is also well known to supply many BeautySpas around the world with: skincare ampoules, wrinkle fillers, serums in soft gels, monodose scrubs, peel off masks, gypsum masks, massage candle oils, body wraps, aesthetic machines and much more.

We saw a magazine advertisement for this spa saying that they had a special for a 90 minutes couples massage for 65 euros. When we got there, they said that the advertisement was a mistake and the massage was 65 euros per person, for a 60 minute massage. I found the spa unsanitary, as each bathroom just had a single towel that everyone was supposed to dry their hands on. Also, the masseuse started by massaging my feet (quite dirty, as I had been walking around hot, sweaty Rome all day), and then proceeded to massage the rest of my body. The massage itself was very light in pressure. It was almost ticklish, and more like petting in style. The massage tables were just a flat bed with face cradle, so it was extremely uncomfortable to be face down.

So after a long flight to Rome, we decided we were in need of a good massage. 5 reviews, all 5 star - we figure it couldn't be that bad right? Location was good - right next to the Spanish Steps and shopping. It was advertised in the Where guide as 90 minutes for 65 EUR. We called to make an appt, and they even confirmed the service, time, and price. But we got there, and they cut the massage short at exactly 60 minutes, without any explanation why other than saying the ad was wrong. Well thanks - you couldn't tell us that over the phone?? Or before the massage started? They were able to find the kink in my back... but it's not a very pleasant experience to leave a spa feeling scammed.

I am used to spas and all kinds of body and face care. Everytime I travel I try to go in at least one spa. So when I was in Rome, I went to Alta Care's spa in Piazza di Spagna, and they took care of me like none ever did before : I did a treatment for water retention and I really felt the difference once I did it ! Moreover, the therapist who took care of me was very professional but also very kind !

I try nearly 10 daily Spas and for now this one was the best. I can't find a drawback. The treatment was very good, especially the candle oil massage, the place is very beautiful and the staff kind and skilled it seems... So I recommend it. Best Spa imo in Roma.

I tried a lot of spas all around the world during few years now and the Altacare Spa is for sure one of the best. Apart a super team of beauty therapist, the Dermastir products used are amazing and you really feel better after one treatment with Dermastir products. If you go in Rome, you have to go in Alta Care Spa.

I visited Alta Care Laboratories when I was in Rome. I was there with my boyfriend and we had a couple's treatment booked for us. Just before the appointment my boyfriend proposed to me. Naturally, when we went to our appointment I announced it to the ladies in charge. They were very happy for us and we celebrated the occasion with a champagne offered to us by the kind staff. We were totally pampered with great massage, service and a beautiful ambiance. At the end of our session they gave us samples to take home with us. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I have no hesitations in recommending this beautiful spa.

I have visited the Alta Care Laboratoires spa in Rome and i was impressed apart from the super luxury location on the kindness of the people there. They are all English speaking and so professional especially the pharmacist in charge there. Apart form the treatment which was extremely reasonable priced considering the fire place was on etc etc. I was given loads of samples of products to try since Alta Care Laboratoires is also the producer of the famous brands Dermastir, Altadrine, Venalta and Neuralta. I think the Dermastir skincare ampoules are amazing and i will surely continue buying them... I have been all around the globe and i recommend this place. I also went through the hassle of doing a review which i never do usually. But the people who work there surely deserve this and more..
