Travel Information
Facilities & Amenities
On a typical day, guests, divided into groups according to fitness level, depart after breakfast for a hike through scenic trails in the local countryside. To fill an active morning, other fitness classes are offered.
Guests often start the afternoon by attending a nutrition/fitness lecture, then continue on to activities such as aerobics, weight training, stretch or yoga, and aquacise. After dinner you may enjoy an evening lecture, movie night, arts and crafts, or bingo. On occasion, entertainment is provided by local musicians and storytellers.
Guests who prefer a less active schedule are free simply to relax during any portion of the day or to enjoy use of the spa's facilities. These include:
Rooms & Dining
The two-story wooden chalets accommodate up to 60 guests and feature simple yet tasteful furnishings. Each chalet has a large front deck, furnished with swings and hanging floral baskets, which offers an excellent view of the pond and creek.
The dining area offers low-fat, portion-controlled meals to provide each guest with from 1,200 to 1,400 calories per day. All meals are low in sodium and sugar and are prepared without artificial sweeteners; natural sweeteners are used as needed. To ensure that you will bring home the healthful habits the spa teaches you, there is a cooking lecture, and recipes are available. Coffee is available, but alcoholic beverages are not. Specific food requests, such as diabetic, vegan, or vegetarian meals, can be accommodated.
