Northstar Terra Spa-An Organic Day Spa

I had a Great experience at the North Star location. The buliding on the outside is old but the girls that took care of me inside more than made up for that. Lakesha gave me an awesome facial she was very informative concerning my skin issues. Monica did my massage and it was one of the best massages i have had. I look forward to going back soon to try the body wrap. You can tell these girls really care about the clients and level of service. Dont judge based on the outside of the building.

I was given a gift certificate for my bridal shower. Originally, I initally chose Terra Spa went because it was exteremly affordable. The place was attractive and the staff were very friendly. I had the renewal package-5 hour package. I was glowing on my wedding day, my skin was smooth and I had a beautiful glow. Overall, the place is nice, the staff is friendly and the products are awesome. I love love love their products!!!!! I can't say it enough, they rock.

I went last weekend for a 30 minute massage and facial and then added on a foot facial. Fantastic on every level. The only negative was the parking. I would recommend this place to anyone I know.

I went for a full day at the spa and the staff was very friendly, helpful and I will return next time I am in the mood for the spa. You can't beat the prices and the organic products are extraordinary. I have been going to this spa for 4 years faithfully.

I chose to use my SpaFinder certificate at Terra Spa because I loved the concept behind it (eco-friendly, organic heaven).I really didn't have expectations because nobody I knew had ever been there. I have been to bigger, well-known "hoity toity" spas,but for some reason I have always felt uncomfortable or left wanting more. When I arrived at Terra Spa I was offered tea while I filled out a questionnaire and waited for my therapist. I loved the fact that it was smaller than the spas I had been to before because it made the experience more personal and quaint. I have to honestly say, I had the best massage ever!!! The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and very professional. I strongly recommend this spa...you will not be disappointed.

Old building sure, but OMG! My therapist was friendly and gave me the best massage.I will absolutely come back again and I will recommend.

So these so called "Body wraps" are a scam. Its nothing but a watery sea weed liquid and plastic wrap you use to wrap food. They wrap you and then have use sit down for a hour, they said your suppose to sweat but the room was so cold i never once sweated. they measure you before and after. Well they said i had lost 6 inches. which was a huge lie i had measured my self before from a chart that they used from one of my friends that had got one from Terra. Turns out i didnt even lose a 1/2 inch. Im so mad i wasted 65.00 bucks on nothing, i called my friend who had gotten one and told her the truth. We will NEVER go there again. How is this placed still running!!

I was given this gift certificate to Terra Spa, excited to go I got there early thinking I was at the wrong place, come to find out it's this old beat up building in the ghetto, I was truly scared to get out of my car, so giving the place the benifit of the doubt I went inside and the inside looked worst than the outside. All though the staff was nice, this place was a joke. They took me to my room , mind you the floors were ridiculously dirty and hand hand paintings on the wall. So while I'm getting massaged I couldn't relax cause all I was hearing was busy San Pedro street and the Mexican resturant next stop. I could literally hear people talking on the curb. And it just goes on, if you want to spend your hard worked money and have a fabulous time DONT EVER GO HERE!!!!! Sincerly, Dissapointed.

I would not recommend this spa at the Northstar location. First of all, I was scared to get out of my car (that I had to park on the street in a run-down area). My appointment was at 10am. I showed up at 9:50am and the door was locked b/c they don't open until 10am. That's fine. So, at 10am I walked in, was greeted nicely, and filled out the paperwork they asked. After waiting about 10 minutes (for her to prepare my facial ingredients), I went back to get my deep-tissue massage. It was a great massage without question, even with the sound of loud trucks outside and street noise in the ghetto. However, it was supposed to last for 1 hour and she only gave me less than a 45 minute massage (even though I paid for 1 hour). It ended at 10:55 (per their clock in the room that I checked when I walked in too). Then the facial started at about 11am. It was somewhat relaxing, again, despite the outside noise and the sound of the crock pots she was using to keep my ingredients in and moving them around. Completely ghetto. Because of the massage, I did need to use the restroom about half the way through the facial but they do not provide a robe, so I would have had to completely dress and go to the restroom. Also, every other facial I've had, the esthitician had a magnifying glass of some kind that she used to find my "problem spots" and this facial didn't even have a light on in the room, let alone a magnifying glass. My face felt a little tighter, but the blemishes were still there the next day and the tightness was gone the next day also. I was dressed and out of there at 12pm, and the massage and facial were both supposed to be an hour each. Cheap, old, gross facility and cheap service (minus the great massage that I got docked 15 minutes). Do not visit this location. I will try the Alamo Heights location b/c I've heard it's nicer, but I'll have to see it to believe it.
