I went to A Better You Salon and Spa today to receive a brazilian wax and a full leg waxing. I arrived 20 minutes early, because I was told to arrive 10 minutes early and ended up waiting 10 minutes past my appointment time. While the girl who did the waxing was very nice and did a great job making me feel comfortable while she waxed my oh so private region, she did a terrible job with the actual waxing. The brazilian wasn't done too poorly, my only complaint about it, is the strip she left is very much not centered and make the whole job look bad. Oh, and the wax was so hot on my area down there I almost cried, it was a hundred times worse then the actual waxing. The leg waxing though was absolutely HORRIBLE. When I got home I noticed numerous patches and even a huge strip of hair, she completely missed. And what she did wax is prickly, no smoother than if I had shaved days ago. I had to come home and pluck hairs with tweezers and spend even more money on a home wax kit so I could wax the huge patches she missed. This isn't my first bad experience with them either. Many years ago I went there to get a black streak removed from my hair, only to leave a hundred dollars shorter with a black streak still in my hair. The stylist "claimed" it would fade out in a day or two. I ended up going to another salon a week later and paying another hundred dollars to have them take it out, which they did with complete ease (Magic Hand's Salon=best hair salon I've ever been too, they're wonderful). Anyways, I decided to give A Better You another chance, hoping that a different service with a different person would be a better experience, but obviously I had no such luck. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK. And I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
