Botched hair jobBy angelak | February 28, 2012

I went to this spa the other day. I had them color my hair. My hair is now ruined. I had to cut it down from 13" down to 3" and I think I have to cut more off in the next few days. The also put blisters on my scalp. They are now crusting but have been oozing for a few days. It is gross! I am ruined for the next 3 months while my hair grows out. How could they, when they knew they messed up my life and hair, make me pay over $160.00 for a botched hair job. Ethics people! Some have em some don't. This place does not practice business ethics.
I would never go back, i have told friends that have seen my hair not to go there, and they are appalled at the sight when I take off my hat. I understand they might do a great job for most, but don't be that one like me that gets horribly fried hair.

I had called to book an appointment when I saw one of their facebook specials. I was given a 1:30 appointment. When I got there the secretary told me I had no appointment! (She's pushing 70.. easily, no bigee if you can do the job) Luckily Lorna brought me back for a pedicure which was so nice. Lorna is the greatest. Upon walking back to the desk the same secretary asked me how far along I was in my pregnancy!? I wasn't even pregnant! 5'1 and a whopping 130 lbs... incredibly rude and disrespectful. I put in a complaint and I was blatantley ignored. Great customer service...

Three strikes, I'm out!By WandaS | November 23, 2011

On my first visit to the spa, I had a massage. It was very average. I paid for a therapeutic massage but got a relaxing massage instead. Which for me, is a useless waste of money.
On my second visit, I decided to try a spa treatment instead of massage. I got a pedicure, which was fair, but not worth the price.
On my third visit, I got a haircut and a perm. It was the worst perm and cut I've ever had. And because my short hair soaks up a lot of solution, the stylist said the manager told her she had to charge me double. I've always paid for the extra solution, but not for the perm fee. So I paid over $160 just to get out of the building. Then I paid for another perm and several haircuts to try and fix the mess the spa made (at a cost of additional $200 to me).
After three tries, I will not go back even though it's a very convenient location for me.

My daughter had given me a gift card card 2 years ago. I was unable to redeem it back then due to a car accident and convalescence. When I was well enough to use it, it had expired and the attendant on duty was unable make an exception.
Today, I went to Echelle Day Spa to buy a gift card for my daughter. I requested that the old one be reactivated. I was told, by the owner, that the old gift card had expired and no exception would be granted.
The owner argued policy and that all gift cards in all industries have an expiration date which is an untrue statement. I asked for an explanation as to why the gift card has an expiration date.....none was provided. I feel that unless they go out of business, it seems unfair that the money paid for the gift card should be forfeited.
It's poor business and even worse customer service to have not considered reactivating the old gift card. It's not as if there would be any loss of revenue. In this economy, with the type of service (which is frivolous), it would seem that the owner would have beeen eager to make an exception.
I ended up getting the gift card at another spa in town and although it's more convenient, I will not consider any services at Echelle Day Spa.

I had a microdermal abraision with Samantha and a $20 hair cut with Katie and everything was awesome. They both are very knowledgeable in their field and friendly. The spa even sells pet products now.
