Surprising little gem in midtown!
Didn't know what to expect when I made an appointment here....was going by the reviews and in NYC sometimes it's hit or miss with NYC day spas. Well I am happy to say that this spa took me by surprise! Yes the locker room is small and there is only one shower in the men's locker but there is a steam room and best of all, the massage I had was amazing. I need to give credit to my therapist Diego - he was professional and made my neck strain pretty much disappear. There are small little quirks I can point out but at the end of the day the end result was that I felt amazing and was quite pleased with my appointment at The Townhouse. I will definitely come back for a follow up visit and try another treatment.

Townhouse Spa in Midtown
The townhouse spa offers unusually nice space - three floors - in midtown Manhattan. It has a very nice steam room with a private changing area that includes tea and water with lemon. The woman who gave me my facial seemed very knowledgeable. My skin feels very supple and moist. The manicurist was also very good - my nails are very clean and even. One can also order food. Its a great place for a birthday or bachelorette party. They sell a lot of products but do not have a rewards program. Overall - I would recommend it and I would go back myself.

Uptown Girl at Townhouse Spa
I have been getting hair extensions for the last 3 yrs in Boston and upon moving to Manhattan in January I had an unfortunate and costly experience at a "well known" salon. Quality hair extensions are quite an expense and for me to have this luxury service I expect to get what I pay for- at the very least. After confiding to a girlfriend about my mishap she told me about this luxury services only salon called Uptown Girl. She has been a regular facial client at the Townhouse Spa and raves about her esthetician and the tranquil, upscale atmosphere. I discovered from her that Uptown Girl operates out of there doing eyelash and hair extensions. In dire need of a removal and re do on my sub-par extensions I decided to book a consult. From my initial phone conversation with the Uptown Girl specialist to my first arrival for my appointment I was pleasantly impressed. I was a bit jaded after my initial NYC experience and after having my new hair extensions put in I am thrilled to write a review that hopefully others can benefit from. I LOVE these new extensions. From the placement, to the exact color match (I am a multi blond), to the excellent cut (not all extensionists skilled in this area unfortunately). Bottom line- highly recommend!

Oasis - even for just a manicure
I was plesantly surprised by how much is in this spa given the location. It's on a very busy street, but once you enter, the atmosphere is completely serene. The lounge area is very comfortable and the staff provides complimentary tea service while you wait. There is a high degree of personal attention as soon as you walk in - they take and hang up your coat, serve tea and introduce you to the person that will be taking care of you. This is standard even if you're only having a manicure. The manicures last a long time without chipping. The services themselves are done in a very sanitary manner with fresh files for every customer and the techicians wear gloves. Overall a very high quality day spa and I'm looking forward to trying additional treatments from their service menu
