Healing Wizdom Spa and Salon

I just had my first brazilian wax. I shopped around and found Healing Wizdom Spa. I read the reviews, called and made an appointment. As soon as I spoke with Deb, I knew I had picked the right place. When I got to the spa, the decor and atmosphere really put me at ease. There was music, and a light fragrence in the air that helped to sooth my nerves. When I went to the waxing room, again, soft music, wonderful fragrence, very private and the decor was really something to enjoy. I could tell a lot of effort went into creating a soothing place for clients to come and relax. As for my waxing, it didn't hurt, Tamara was excellent and I can't wait to go back again! I had no discomfort, no sensitivity! It really was a relaxing experience!

Healing Wizdom is a great place for waxing especially Brazilian waxing! They take great care in making you feel comfortable and easing the "pain" that can be associated with waxing this delicate area by using hot rocks and warm pads and cloths and a wonderful calming lotion at the end. My personal favorite is Bryna who is extremely professional, comforting and very thorough with her work! I must also mention Mary at the front desk as she is always there to handle quick schedule changes and support the center with all of its business. I wouldn't recommend any other center in town for waxing service!

I have been really pleased with the service here. They are really good about making sure you are satisfied. They call to remind you about appointments, to schedule new appointments, and to check if you are happy with their work. They also have a two week guarantee on their hair cuts so if you decide you don't like something, you can come back in to have it fixed. The owner gave me a cute and stylish hair cut. She listened to what I wanted and kept at it until it was just what I had envisioned. I then made another appointment with a new stylist who also did a good job. When it wasn't exactly how I had my hair done before, the owner put some finishing touches on it. The stylist also gave me a relaxing head massage while washing my hair. It was so nice!

I recently had one of the best massages here with Matthew. Healing Wizdom has always had 'good energy' and been a pleasant experience, but this massage was perfect as my tight areas were focused on and some stretches were explained to help me keep loose. It was great and so I booked my next session in July (which I never do b/c I like having flexibility with my schedule) and that next massage was just as informative and stress reducing . Matthew is a natural healer and I would recommend him to anyone looking to deeply relax and stretch out the body! Thank you Healing Wizdom!

I had an Aromatherapy Massage from Cheyenne and loved every minute of it. My fav part was the warm heated pads placed on me at the end when I was left in the room to relax while wrapped in soft sheets to let the lotion/oils soak into my skin. My skin was SO soft afterwards! I love this little spa - from the cute reception area to the salon across the little parking lot (I had 3 feathers put into my hair the same day - FUN!). Highly recommended.

After reading the amount of positive reviews, I had high hopes for finally finding that "special" spa that would replace some of our local hot spots that have unfortunately closed their doors - Healing Wisdom is NOT that place. Because it was my first visit, I was unaware that there were two locations within the complex. I sat there for 30 minutes before they realized the mistake due to the lack of professional greeting. No apology was given. I was sent on my way and that was that. The massage experience was comparable to their greeting - I have never been so tempted to call a massage to an early end but it was so much of a joke that it was almost laughable. The masseur could have been new, she definitely was not familiar with their computer setup. Hopefully, she will improve with experience. However, the front desk reception was inexcusable.

I would highly recommend Healing Wizdom and Kindra to anyone looking for a great experience with waxing. If it is your first time do not bother going anywhere else...Kindra made my experience with the Brazilian Wax a great one. She was professional, calming and was able to help with questions I had. She made me feel so comfortable and the calming lotion that is used afterwards topped the whole experience. From the front desk, the staff, the calming wax, the prices and the great cup of tea at the end I would recommend Healing Wizdom to all my friends. The staff is very well trained and the environment is welcoming and relaxing. My massage was amazing, I've been to many different spas, but this was by far the best. Great experience

I love this place! The entire staff makes you feel like you belong there for whatever reasons you are visiting. There is tea to start the process and smiles everywhere as the soft spa scents relax you. Kendra is my favorite, but then I've only been to her. I've been to other "spa"s for Brazilian waxes and never before had a tummy warmer pillow and a little mini-massage prior to a wax. Kendra sets you at ease and makes you feel completely comfortable. She is wonderful at the art of distraction and is extremely quick as well as very thorough. The beds are of the highest quality and the entire atmosphere is designed to make you feel like you've left Reno and landed in a remote spa location. Healing Wizdom makes you wish that you didn't have to space your appointments so far apart and the staff makes you feel like a true friend.

I had a Spirit of Healing facial with Tamara and it was so calming & relaxing! Great little place, and the people are so nice.

I am VERY careful who cuts my hair and/or colours my hair. Shirley is THE best. From the beginning there have been no "oops" or "so sorrys." I have gotten so many compliments about the quality of my hair cut. Even my husband gave a rave review. I assure you the review from my husband is a first! This place is really as amazing as the reviews say it is. I've been getting waxed since I was eighteen and as I moved around a lot I've been exposed to a number of different waxers. I have to say that this was the least painful experience I've ever had...maybe even bordering on relaxing side (yes, i didn't think that was possible either!). I've gotten several brazilian waxes by Kendra, and once was seen by Bryna. Kendra is confident and knows what she is doing--she's quick, helps you coordinate your breathing so that you experience a lot less pain as she pulls the wax off and the best part is, I no longer have any ingrowns! The warm towel on your belly, the hot rocks to hold on to and the post-wax products that they use make the dreaded ordeal seem more like a spa treatment. As for eyebrows, Tamara is the best. I may have to come back to Reno just for eyebrow waxes once i move back to SF! Even my husband noticed that my face looked prettier lol. I have had some eyebrow catastrophies in past w/ aestheticians taking way too much off and making my already chubby face look chubbier. Tamara leaves my eyebrows looking natural yet very well groomed.

I just had moved up to Reno from CA in July of this year. Finding a new place in a new town is uncomfortable for anyone who has to make this change. A few weeks after moving here I needed my hair done and I searched Yelp and had found the Spa and Hair Salon. I called up and THANK GOD Shirley from the Salon answered. She booked me the same day and my experience was awesome. I have since been back every 6 weeks or so for a new hair change. Shirley is very attentive and extremely easy to talk to. After having my hair done with Shirley she let me know about the services at the Spa and I booked an appointment with Bryna to have my arm pits waxed having never done it before. Not only was it a perfect experience everyone at the spa made it a I have to come back in 4 weeks experience. Bryna is amazing and kind and gentle and sweet. I could not imagine a better experience than I have had with the Salon and the Spa and would encourage anyone to try either one of them out.

After recently moving from Los Angeles, I was on the hunt for a great waxer. I read the reviews and settled on Healing Wizdom. I believe the owner was who worked with me and she was so sweet. It was a completely different experience then I've ever had before. She gave me warm stones to hold and laid a heated pad on my abdomen...and my favorite part, the "modesty towel". I would definitely recommend this spa and am planning on taking my friend who has never has a bikini wax before. It's perfect for someone who might be a little nervous. It was painless and quick!

I woke up this morning with a terrible headache and neck/shoulder pain. I looked on spa finder for a local spa and found Healing Wizdom. I have tried other places in Reno and have not found one I liked, so thought I would give this one a try if they could get me in last minute. Cheyenne came in early to squeeze me in and I just got the best massage in Reno. I got a firm full body 75 min massage with hot stones and I feel wonderful. She was great, perfect pressure , very calming and reasonable prices. I will go back and see her again and you should too! Debbie T.

I have been getting my brazilian waxes with Kendra, and she is amazing! The spa is so soothing and has a great energy. Kendra is great, she keeps the conversation going in an otherwise potentially awkward set up. She also gives you hot stones to hold and tells you when to breathe deep. I have yet to experience any kind of discomfort after the treatment. She’s incredible, and the spa is hidden in a quiet corner of a great part of town with a great little spot for lunch right outside. Overall it’s a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. Since coming here I’ve sworn off shaving all together! Highly recommended!

Healing Wizdom has been a huge help for me. I started having neck and shoulder problems a couple of years ago. After seeing the chiropractor and visiting the doctor and taking Aleve on a daily basis for a couple of years to no avail. My wife suggested I see Cheyenne at Healing Wizdom for one of there on the go massages. It has been great for me. Multiple visits to the chiro didn't help as much as two sessions with Cheyenne. Now I do my best to see her at least every couple of weeks. Not only has it helped me sleep better and feel better, it is very reasonably priced so I can afford to take better care of myself. Healing Wizdom Salon is wonderful! I go to Brynna for Brazilian waxes about once a month. I've been going for about 2 ½ years. She is extremely professional and super nice. I have never been in pain or had any complications. The other staff members at the salon are also nice and professional. They always send an email confirmation for upcoming appointments and payments. They call to confirm appointments as well. I would recommend this salon to anyone who needs a bikini wax!

If you live in the Reno/Sparks even Tahoe area or are in town and need a message or any spa treatment, they have many. I have to highly recommend "Healing Wizdom". I have had the pleasure of becoming a regular of "Annie's".. Annie Is very sweet , with a warm , caring and calming demeanor. Her massages are very relaxing I prefer a firm to deep tissue where needed or lighter . And Annie seems to be in tuned to my needs and know how much pressure and where I need it the most. Her technique is professional and very experienced .You can tell how much Annie loves what she does. I Always feel re energized, relaxed, and can't wait for my next message. I visited Healing Wizdom for a Brazilian wax. Kindra was calming and very professional. It was the easiest, least painful wax I have ever had! She included lots of extra touches that made my waxing experience relaxing and surprisingly enjoyable! I already booked my next appointment and I would encourage anyone else to do the same! I won't be going anywhere else for all of my waxing needs.

Let me start by saying that my visits with Cheyenne at Healing Wizdom Salon and Spa have helped me more than I ever expected. I was referred to Healing Wizdom and can't say enough about the friendly staff and personable service. I started seeing Cheyenne a few months back to try and help with the constant lower back pain I was experiencing. I was just hoping to get some sort of relief by getting a massage. I see Cheyenne weekly and it's helped me beyond what I could've ever imagined. I rarely have lower back pain now and she's helped with my neck and shoulders as well to prevent further problems. Had a wonderful experience at Healing Wizdom spa in Reno on Plumb and Arlington. Though I thought I had never had a massage before, my daughter informs me that I had indeed. I guess it was not a memorable experience  I made an appointment here for a Hot Stone Massage. Oh my, I cannot tell you in words how incredible this was. I surely will not forget this. In fact, I plan to make it a routine as much as I can. The prices are reasonable and the service superb!! Cheyenne brought me into a cozy little room with beautiful décor and soft music. With the lighting low, she proceeded to make every part of my sore body feel better than I can ever remember. I had whiplash a year ago and she was aware of this and focused on my tender spots. She did more for my pain in one hour than 8 weeks of physical therapy. Just amazing and the hot stones, oh my gosh!! Afterwards I was treated to a cup of the most delicious hot tea made from several different herbs. Truly an wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this spa to anyone who wishes to feel better than they have maybe in their lifetime. The owner and employees make it their goal to be sure you are completely happy. They want you to tell them exactly what you want. Don't wait, get to feeling good today! I did.

It was a first time at getting anything waxed and was pretty nervous, I wanted to get a Brazilian. I came across Tamara while doing some research and let me tell you these reviews do not lie. She is the best! To my surprise I got a call from Tamara the day before my appointment. She reassured me and told me she was the best and not to worry. I thought this was great; someone I didn’t even know was calling me to let me know it was going to be ok, and it was like a pep talk. I was really thankful she did that, plus it showed just how dedicated she is to her clients. It’s seriously not as painful as you would think. Yes there is a little pain, but we are pulling a lot of hair out of our body at once. However, at Healing Wizdom you can buy a topical cream that numbs the area (I recommend for first timers to put a little more because it needs to get past all the hair). Tamara is so great, and fast. She did the first strip before I even realized it. So far I’ve gone in twice and the second time is a breeze. You know what to expect and it’s even faster than the first time. I had no problems afterwards, either. Healing Wizdom has this great after product that helps heal the area faster. It feels like icy-hot but is all natural. I use it on soar muscles too. I am addicted to Tamara and am glad I finally took the plunge of getting a Brazilian. I feel so much more confident in my swimsuit.

I LOVE MY New DO! I have lived in Reno since 1996 and HAD been using the same hair dresser for 13 years. He has done a nice job (I thought), but over the years my cuts were not consistently good cuts each visit. I'd come to expect a week or more grow out period before I was content. Each visit to him I would say to myself, "I hope this will be a good hair cut day." When I was ready for a major style change I decided to look up some new hairstylists. Tamara at Healing Wizdom gives the best Brazilian waxes, hands down. I am a 3rd year graduate medical student in town and have searched endlessly for someone that does it right. After 4 salons and 7 aestheticians, I finally found someone that really knows the ins and outs of giving a great wax. After my first appointment with Tam, I was amazed with how long I was hairless. I had no growth at all for much longer than ever before. After other waxes, I had gone home and plucked all of the little pieces they had missed, but Tam is thorough and meticulous. Her techniques are such that healing time is almost zero. By the time I get home from my appointment, all of the redness and tenderness is virtually gone. Everything that she does shows her knowledge and expertise in female anatomy. The best part of the experience is that Tam makes it nearly painless. The appointment is all about you. You don't have to "hold here" or "get on all fours," she does it all for you, making it possible to actually relax and even enjoy the process.

I have lived in Reno for over a year and have gone to five different salons promising to give me a great hair cut. Each one failed. Then I randomly choose Creative Colours and found my hair stylist for LIFE! Without exaggerating they have the best everything. I have had infrequent massages, in many cities over the past 20 years. Part of the reason for my sporadic patronage has been the inability to find a masseur that I love and can fit into my schedule and budget. Lucky for me this problem has now been solved in finding Jamie at Healing Wizdom in Reno. Jamie is one of the best masseuses I have experienced. I enjoy a deep tissue massage, bordering on painful and for such a petite person Jamie's strength and talent is truly remarkable. Her spiritual approach to healing is also an added delight that I have rarely found. I would recommend the spa as a unique space with an informal but professional experience, and Jamie, well she is a rare gem indeed.

I'm from Brazil and I've been waxing nearly every month for about 10 years so I know the deal. Ever since I came to the US I've been trying to find a place that does a decent job. I've tried fancy spas, top rated waxers, everything you can imagine. Most places are too worried about being fancy and end up doing a horrible job. Many spas will do all they can to make you comfortable but when it comes to waxing, they have no clue what they are doing. One lady bruised me, the other waxed me on a chair! And all of that for $70!!!!!! And then I found Tamara! At Healing Wisdom they make sure you are comfortable and relaxed, and they do it all for you (no hold here, pull there). Tamara has her own tricks and techniques that make it pain free. She cares about your comfort, gives you hot stones to grab on to, uses a hot towel, especial oils and lotions, tweezes the little suckers that get left behind, and leaves you all nice and smooth! I had not been that smooth in a long time. Best of all, it lasts! She really knows what she is doing! Only one way to describe it: PERFECT! No use in wasting your time going anywhere else. If you are a first timer, then you definitely want Tamara !

I received a Spa Finder gift certificate for my birthday and had it for almost a year. We planned a family trip to the Reno area and I decided on using my gift certificate at the Healing Wizdom Spa & Salon. One of the best decisions I have made. I received an excellent haircut from Tamara. She made me feel so comfortable, I felt like I knew her for years. I also received a mini neck & shoulder massage which felt awesome. I walked out of the salon walking on air. During my next visit to Reno, I will absolutely schedule another haircut with Tamara. Great energy in the atmosphere.

The staff is very friendly and skilled. The job they did on my hair color might be the best I've ever had done. The dyes are rich in color, look natural, and don't fade for a long time. I was very happy with my service. The price, on the other hand, was pretty high. I paid about $135 ($5 + or -) for a haircut and color. When I sat in the chair, the hairstylist had lots of ideas about which colors to add, how to add them, etc. I knew this would add to the price (I was embarrassed to ask), but I was a little shocked at how expensive it was in the end. I guess my best advice is, if you're on a budget, have some chutzpah and ask how much these great ideas will cost so you won't be surprised in the end!

I dont remember the name of who gave me my haircut, but she was friendly, and seemed really passionate about her job. She gave me an awesome bob not like all others that ive seen that looked so butchered.! She actually listened to what i wanted done and not just do whatever she wanted (like many hair stylists here in reno). Coming back again.

I received a gift certificate to Healing Wizdom for my birthday this year. My usual favorite therapist, Jaime wasn't available, so I booked with Lisa. Lisa is one of the newer staff members and she is awesome. I walked out of the spa feeling like I was about 20 lbs lighter. I still feel me shoulders and neck relax just thinking about it. Now I am booking every two weeks, alternating between Jaime and Lisa.

Tamara Marshall at Creative Colours has been my hairdresser for 8 + years. I have long layered haired and she is the only person I let touch it. I live in Incline Village up at the lake and I make the drive to Reno just to see her. In the 8+ years she has been styling my hair I have only let one other person cut it because I was on a trip; upon my return Tamara knew someone else had cut my hair. Tamara knows what she is doing, and she is always helpful and a joy to be with. The atmosphere at Creative Colours is always rejuvenating and I highly recommend them.

I went to Healing Wisdom to receive my first ever Brazilian wax back in May in preparation for a trip. I was really scared, being a newbie, but the gals at Healing Wisdom did a great job trying to relax my fears. Needless to say, I've continued receiving this service each month ever since my first visit. Bryna is just great! She is warm and really tries to help you relax during the service. I love the heated towels, pads and stones that she uses to help make the process less painful. We always have a great conversation, which makes the process more enjoyable and helps take my mind off the "business end" of the service. I also visit Bryna for relaxing facials and she does a fantastic job! I always feel relaxed and refreshed after the service. Bryna is very kind when it comes to pore "extractions" and my skin always feels great afterward. Oh, and they use Dermalogical for their skin care: which is a plus. I highly recommend Healing Wisdom. It has a uniquely touching ambiance and the ladies who work their are kind and dedicated to providing great service.

I went to CC to find someone to fix my hair. I found Shirley Love and she knew just what I was looking for. She has now brought my color back to a natural look and my hair is really healthy. I enjoy the fact that the Salon is Organic based as well.

I tried Creative Colours because of their convenient location. I was delighted to find a friendly and conscious environment with products and services you can feel good about. I felt confident in my hair stylist, and am pleased with my new hairdo. I found the price for a wash, cut, and style to be very reasonable ($35) and will definitely return for my next trim

Living in Reno I always dreaded getting my haircuts. I was even told at times to get the seven, four (7 on top, 4 on the sides) however, I truly lucked out and found Shirley love, and she worked magic. She listened to what I wanted done and then added her own artistic flare to make it a near flawless cut. I will defiantly be frequenting Creative Colours for all of my salon needs.

I have been going to Tamara for a few years now and she is wonderful. Not only is she the worlds best waxer but she is also fabulous with cuts and colors. She stays up on the trends and knows what looks good on people. She makes it her goal to be the best at what she does and enjoys teaching others. Tamara has a great spirit and energy about her that makes your visit more then just your average trip to the spa or salon. I always leave feeling better then when I arrived. I absolutely love Healing Wizdom and Creative Colours! I've been a client of Tamara's since she opened Healing Wizdom and now several of my family members and friends go there too. I was thrilled when she opened the Creative Colours Salon. She is a fabulous stylist and I am always very happy with my cut and color. Everyone at the Spa and Salon are very friendly, professional and helpful. If Tamara isn't availble, I am more than happy to see one of her associates. They are excellent! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either business to anyone who is looking for a little pampering and relaxation.

If you are looking for something more than the common, indeed you will find it here: I encourage the men in Reno to be brave, try something different, and give Healing Wizdom a call! I, a modern city man, first came to Healing Wizdom on the recommendation of a friend who raved about her regular 'absolutely wonderful' massages with Jamie (if you get regular spa services here they offer an array of options for discounts). From the friendly reception in this 'enchanted forest' to the warm bed, hot towels, hot rocks and essential oil massage all, for a lower price than many standard 50 min (called 1 hour) massages offered at many of the larger spas I have been to, I was immediately a fan of this place. Jamie was not afraid to get into some of those 'hurt so good' spots which she had a knack for finding, and she did not charge an extra price for the depth where needed. Her personality was very positive and engaging and yet while giving me the massage she was quiet and allowed me the peace and rest I was looking for (all of Healing Wizdom's therapists are trained to be quiet in the room, unless of course you wish some conversation, they book out an extra 15 min to your hour to have the time to communicate with you). When I asked of her techniques she raved about the owner Tamara and the training she had received since she had joined the 'Healing Wizdom family.' She said that Tamara was a master and her personal training really helped her develop her own style and pull together what all of her 700 hour schooling had given her, plus Tamara had some great information on new techniques, how to integrate body, mind and spirit, and clear out all the old energies that the massage moved. So then I got special permission to receive a facial with Tamara (who doesn't discount), in which I understood how different and powerful her healing techniques are. Her facial is very complete and she is not afraid to work the muscles of the face to achieve tone and lift. She even does a brain balancing and chakra balancing and clearing in the facial which was new to me! I left the spa that day with not only immaculately clean and glowing skin but a true sense of relaxation and balance that stayed with me for several days. I was impressed with Tamara's work ( never-mind her quite attractive appearance) and learned that she did hair as well in her salon Creative Colours. I signed up for a hair cut and indeed it was well worth the little extra that I paid from my last place (she is $30 for a men's hair cut). From the really good shampoo massage to the simple shoulder massage at the end I felt as if I had indeed had a spa visit, vs, just a hair cut. As for the cut: great, quick, professional and clean. Tamara now is my regular hair dresser for the past year or so and she has worked with me in growing out my boring and severe long time 'short cut' to a more balanced and flattering slightly longer cut which has definitely received a great degree of compliments, particularly from the ladies. Just what the modern city man is looking for: good quality service, fair prices and some feminine wisdom in helping me feel good about my body, mind and spirit. Creative Colours ( a part of the Healing Wizdom family) is a wonderful hair salon! Tamara is fantastic! I have been going to her for several years and I consistently receive comments on how great my hair looks--Total strangers even come up to me and ask where I get my hair done. Their product line is great for hair color. I used to have a lot of problems with allergies to hair dye, but since I have been going to Tamara: No Problem! Which is awesome!

I moved to Reno 3 years ago and have been through several stylists looking for just the right match. I met Shirley Love at Creative Colours through a promotion she was doing with houseseats.com that offered a first hair cut at no charge. I was so happy with that cut I’ve continued to see her for my subsequent hair care. She’s a great person who is more than willing to listen to what I want, make suggestions for things I might not have considered, then give me a great haircut that keeps me coming back again and again. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a new stylist.

My daughter and I have been looking for someone who was honest about our hair and the style for us. This is harder than you think! After our visit to Creative Colours I feel that I would send anyone there for a honest assessment (the stylist talked my daughter out of cutting 14 inches off her hair) and an incredible cut. The other services offered here are second to none and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff is nothing short of AMAZING!

Healing Wizdom was by far the best waxing experience that I have had. Tamara was wonderful, and truly helped to melt my stress away - even during a wax session!! I was immediately at ease when I visited the spa - everyone was incredibly friendly. I was recommended products that worked and were far less expensive that some of the useless stuff I have tried. This will be my choice every time I need a wax - and I can't wait to try out other services as well!

I'm from the Bay Area and was in Reno for the weekend. I decided to have my hair done, based on a recommendation from a friend who had been to Creative Colours Hair Salon. I've been to many salons for over 20 years now trying to explain to the stylist that I din't want any orange in my hair. To my surprise and delight, Tamara was able to understand my exact wishes. I now have the color I've wanted for so long! She did such an amazing job, that I will travel to Reno just to go to this salon. It is truly worth it!

I absolutely hands down LOVE this place!!! I went to Healing Wizdom for my first bikini wax ever. Bryna was my aesthetician and she instantly knew that I was quite apprehensive about the process. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed right from the get go. She was so friendly, explained the entire process to me, told me everything step by step as it was happening...she just made it so easy! The environment is so relaxing, harmonious, clean, and private. I honestly think that this spa is the best one I have ever been to, not only because of the beautiful facility, but also the friendliness of the staff. Hello, My name is Tamara and I am the owner of Creative Colours Salon that was so poorly reviewed by someone who was never even a client, for she did not even receive a service here. Yet for some reason she found the time to horrendously rated us and our services based on a one minute reaction to the one day appearance of one of my stylists. I want to respond that this is not the norm in either the salon or spa and I did talk to this stylist about her appearance and she apologized (before even seeing this review), said she was having a bad week, and has taken action to make sure that she is paying attention to her own appearance instead of just making all of her clients beautiful. She and the rest of us are excellent stylists dedicated to high quality services with personal attention to each client's needs. This stylist was alone in the salon that day and has many personal client's that she has had for years and what the review meant by 'inappropriate conversation' can only be guessed at but as most know, stylists can be like the barman to whom clients divulge anything and everything when they believe themselves to be alone in the salon. I invite anyone to come and visit us and discover why this reviewer's extreme negative response is very untrue and why the many other reviews of my establishment on line are nothing but 5 stars and glowing with details!

I've been going to Healing Wizdom for about 3 months now - and it is the only place I will go for a Brazilian. I've had other waxes that were quick, yet painful and left me sore. Tamara has made the experience painless and even relaxing! She takes special care to protect your skin by using soothing oils and tops it off with a great cup of tea! I definitely recommend Healing Wizdom for those who want to have a wonderful, welcoming experience!

I can't say enough about my experiences at Healing Wizdom Spa and Salon in Reno, NV. For 3 years while I lived in Reno I had fabulous facials by Bryna and Tamara is the best colorist and stylist around. I currently live in the East Bay in CA, about a 3 hour drive from Reno, but I am still traveling to Healing Wizdom to see Bryna for my facials and Tamara for my hair. The atmosphere of the spa and salon, the value of services and the expertise of both Bryna and Tamara far outweigh the cost and time of my travel. You have to check them out when in Reno - you won't be sorry!

I received a spa finder gift certificate so I decided to take a look at the salons before I made the appointments, I walked in to creative colours salon in the middle of the week and was greeted by a loud stylist having a conversation that was very unprofessional!! Not knowing that I had walked into the salon until I walked around to the station and was shocked by what I saw, I forgot for a second that I was in a salon, this lady greeted me and asked me how she could help me I stated that I was just here to see about prices. She rambled on about all the stuff they had and I could not get over the fact that she was a stylist. I mean when I walk into a salon I want some to greet me that has fashion, style, makeup, color, and her hair done. What I saw was someone that looked like she just rolled out of bed! So I said thank you and walked out of the salon. I would never recommend this salon to anyone unless you want to look like you just rolled out of bed!!!!

I went to Reno for the weekend and looked up spas in the local area, I chose Healing Wizdom Spa and Salon GREAT CHOICE!!! The entire staff was so friendly. I got a facial and it was amazing! I also got a hair consult and was so pleased with her ideas for my hair I got a hair cut and updo! both ladies were very nice and knowledgeable. If I lived in Reno I would go there all th time and I plan on going again next time I am in the area!!

I love Healing Wisdom. I have been there several times (mostly for facials but also for messages and eyebrow waxes) My favorite thing about Healing Wisdom is the ambiance. Its so relaxing and definitely something special and different from any of the other spa I have been to. A lot of it is purple, and sparkly, there are fairies everywhere, very soothing music, little fountains and lots of velvet! Something else that is great about Healing Wisdom is that its very small so its super cozy. Everyone who works there is so friendly and nice. When you are done with your service there is always a cup of yummy tea waiting for you. I love that extra little touch! I have never had anything done at Healing Wisdom that I wasn't happy with. And whenever I leave I can't wait to come back! Another of Reno's little hidden gems that I'm so glad I found!
