Fairlawns Spa

I stayed at Fairlawns in December as part of a package including a 4 course meal, accommodation, access to the spa for 2 days, lunch and 2 treatments including the dry floatation and aqua massage. I have been to a number of spas and I can't fault Fairlawns at all. The have a wide variety of facilities including 3 sauna's, steam rooms, foot spas, heated loungers, pool, gym and lots of treatments on offer. The heated loungers are amazing! I could barely move off them all day. I would also recommend the dry floatation tank for relaxation, however 30 mins is not enough, I suggest paying the extra and add on another 30 mins. The aqua massage didn't really do anything for me, but it was only 10 mins and included in the package. The staff are extremely friendly. I have a number of food intolerance and they had already spoken to the chef before my arrival and arranged for me to have whatever I wanted to eat. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The hotel rooms are really spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and will be going back there this year.

I have just read the previous review by Christinea and found it very helpful and an accurate description of Fairlawns. When I was purchasing a Spa day I trawled the internet making notes on each one, this one suited what I was looking for a day experience and my budget. All the staff were very professional, I never felt that anything was too much trouble or doubted their sincerity and friendliness. The atmosphere was very relaxed and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves. The food was of a very good standard and although they advertise it as a grazing bar there was enough to eat all day and if anything ran out it was instantly replaced even at 4.40pm 20 mins before closing! The experience will suit any pocket, you can spend a fortune on some wonderful treatments and champagne, but also if you are on a budget you could not have any treatments and still have enough to do to fill your day. Another wonderful thing is the decor, the treatment rooms have black ceilings with tiny spot lights so it looks like the night sky and there are pretty wall lights. It has all been well designed and thought out. It was a wonderful experience that far exceeded my expectations, thank you to the staff there.

For my birthday i arranged a spa day for 5 women, the booking was simple and the lady i spoke to on the phone talked me through the treatments and what to expected and arranged it so that each member of my party could call up and pay separately making it much easier for me as i didn’t have to chase people for money or fork out a everyone money up front to book. When we got there we had an induction and a tour and then given our timetable and left at out own leisure. I was truly amazed with the amount of various treatments that was included in our day spa. We had access to 3 types of sauna including an infra-red sauna, 2 types of steam rooms, 2 types of foot baths and the showers where amazing one had 3 setting that cycled through hot and cold rain type showers and sprays and the other was one of those shower with 3 different heights so the jets spray different areas of the body. There was also a water bucket which contain freezing water that you tip over you body by pulling the chain seriously not for the faint hearted! I had the mud chamber and the deep tissue massage would definite recommend both. When I was looking at various spa for my birthday I found for what was included Fairlawn was the best value for money and after visiting them I don’t think I would go to any other spa. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and not over crowded and the “grazing bar” that was included in the price was beyond what I was expecting especially the scones and brownies at the end of the day.
