    Wen Chic Aveda Concepts Salon and Spa's design is inspired by feng shui philosophy which is also reflected in their spa services. The spa's philosophy is centred on complete "beauty, body, balancing" and the spa incorporates tea and Aveda aromatherapy in its treatments. Services include massage, body treatments, hair care, Aveda facial treatments, waxing, and makeovers featuring makeup application and instruction. Packages inspired by the five Chinese elements of wood, fire, earth, metal (air), and water are available and come with a custom blend tea and spa cuisine. Bridal services are also offered as well. I've been here 4 times. The 1st time, I had the worst haircut of my life & was overcharged. A year later, I decided to try them again, this time for highlights & cut with a master stylist. This time, the stylist did a great job on both & she was nice. But then I go to check out...& it was $300?! They charged me an extra $40 for a "toner" that no one even bothered to tell me I was getting, much less that I would have to pay $40 for it (it was just a conditioner they applied and then rinsed out...$40?!). They also charged me way over their advertised price...because I had long hair they said. & they charged me extra for the lowlights. All adding up to $300 with no upfront communication. It sounds like other clients have been overcharged and blindsided at checkout too. Although the actual color and cut turned out great, I wish the stylists would be UPFRONT about any charges BEFORE doing the service. To their credit, after I complained about the toner charge they removed it. But it left a bad taste in my mouth that they tried to sneak it in. The 3rd time I went just for highlights & was charged $30 for a blowout that the stylist did without asking or telling me it was extra. I guess I should have gone home with wet hair?!!

It took me a while to work up the courage to write this review. I wanted to visit twice. The 1st time I had my hair highlighted here the service was fantastic. Sunny was attentive & did a great job. I was a bit neurotic about the way the chairs where set up facing other clients. No mirrors. She styled my hair a bit old fashioned but it was cute, however, the blowout did not even last 8 hours. The stylist in the chair next to Sunny has an attitude. Cold. She made me feel uncomfortable. I thought it was just a bad day but the 2nd time I went she was the same. also cold to her clients. 2nd time was awful. They had a wedding party It was too noisy & crowded for a tiny salon & my stylist was tired. I came in for highlights lowlights & she colored my roots & put in a few folls. I got to the counter. $198! 2x+ more than it was supposed to be. Receptionist asked stylist what was done & adjusted it to the root touch up & FEW foils. She charged me for highlights low-lights & color! I spoke up, she apologized but I was in shock! That was a BIG mistake. I was not pleased but tipped 30% anyway. I might be back but I'm not sure. Better communication is needed. Their is a lady with cropped blond hair behind the counter. She is VERY sweet.

I first made an appointment that morning by email. When I arrived, they were quick to address me, and offered a refreshment. Yelitza, my styliest, was great. She sat me down and described the style before she did it. She suggested highlights and I decided to go for it. The place was great, very modern, and my hair turned out awesome! I would, without a doubt, go back to Wen Chic.

I am new to the area, I found Wen Chic Salon online and decided to stop by. I noticed there were 3 levels of stylist. The first was stylist, then senior and lastly master, the prices were according to which you chose. I decided to go with a stylist, spend minimal money, just in case. I was offered over to a stylist by the name of joy. She was beyond my expectation, she persuaded me to color my hair, something I haven't done in years. Not only was the color wonderful, she styled my hair and gave it the body of a fresh perm. I felt beautiful in my skin again..I normally don't write reviews, but she truly deserves recognition for a job well done!

The Master therapist is the best and most knowledgeable therapist I have ever been to, and I have been receiving monthly massages10 years of recieving a massage a month. I highly recomend this salon, great staff and atmospher. Realy nice tea bar.

This place must have people straight out of school. My daughter and I went to get our hair cut. I showed the lady a picture of the hair style I wanted and she started cuting my hair short I asked her what are u doing she told me that she was cutting it like her hair. I told her but thats not the style I showed you that I wanted. The lady who cut it had really short hair and it was not like the picture. she was like ok and went on cutting my hair. She seemed upset that I told her thats the way I wanted my hair. My daughters hair came out ok.

We have had a lot of changes in staff since this happened. I would like to take this opportunity of inviting this guest back for a complimentary haircut for her daughter with a new stylist. Wen Chic had such wonderful customer service I felt like had been at a Day retreat. I was offered tea while I shoped and even enjoyed a complimentary mini chair massage while I waited to have my foot treatment. My treatment left my feet so smooth my husband actually rubbed my feet when I came home!! I can't wait to return for my hair cut and color!!
