I came here based on the good reviews. I got a haircut from stylist, Anjan. He was very friendly and we had a brief consultation before the wash and cut. I had pictures of the styles I liked. I made sure they were styles that fit my face type. I also let him know I don't mind cutting the length and he was still mindful of letting me know how much he was cutting. I felt he was still on the conservative side especially in cutting my bangs. We had to talk through it a lot and the haircut came out okay...nice but, just got the feeling of ...its okay. It is pricey for a "just okay" haircut. Luckily, I had a gift certificate! Also, after the cut, I had a whole bunch of small cut hairs all over my face. Sadly, I didn't realize it until I left. I don't go to the hair salon very often, but aren't they supposed to help you remove the hair pieces from your face? The pieces stuck to my makeup and it wasn't very pretty.

Great for Highlights not so great for the wallet
I got a full head of highlights. Was there for 3 hours which was great bc Akiko spent so much time making sure it was perfectly done. I asked for 3 shades to fade into a light blond on my dark brown hair. It turned out beautifully. One thing I didn't like was that she had to use a toner on my hair after the highlights and charged me for it. I didnt request this service but it was something that had to be done. Was not notified before we started that this would be a possibility. I thought that since I HAD to get toner, I could at least have not been charged for a blowout on my long straight hair that does not even have a style (it is all one length - I could have blown it out that way myself). The most important thing is that they look great, which they do! Not too happy about what I was charged. $265 for highlights, toner and blowdry. Just be sure to settle on a price before you get started. Good luck!

Great Highlights + Cut
I went to Tropical Salon after I found it on SpaFinder. They were very friendly and have good specials. The stylist took the time to go over different color options and what would work best for my features. She also gave me a new haircut that I absolutely love. I had an excellent experience and would recommend it to anyone that isn't looking for an uptight salon. This salon is very relaxed and gives you personal attention.

Great find in the LES
I needed a haircut and I ended up with color and highlights and I got a free brazilian. The place is very casual and the people very nice. Vadim my stylist is very professional and knows what he is doing and I ...am beautiful! :)
