Mario Tricoci Hair Salon and Day Spa

I had a great massage here after some power shopping on the Mag Mile. Just what I needed!

The title of the review says it all. I received a gift certificate to the salon and decided to have a massage and mani-pedi. The massage rooms are cold and located right next to the noisey waiting room. The therapist turned the music up loud to drown out the conversations and passing footsteps. This was not very relaxing. The mani-pedi were no better than the service I would receive at shopping mall nail salon. Thank goodness this visit was free to me. The next time I receive a gift certificate, I will sell it.

I had a wonderful experience at this location! The massage therapist was fabulous and the room I was in was so relaxing. I loved the heated table and I loved how professional the masseuse was. The only complaint I have about it is that it's in Chicago. The city kind of undoes all the stress relief of the spa, but then again there's nothing this place can do about it. I went to another location in the suburbs but it wasn't as good as the one downtown. I would definitely go again, if I took public transportation. Not easy to get to by driving, for sure.

My husband surprised me for my birthday since we were in town visiting family for the holidays. The massage was nice and they have great amenities. He bought a package that included a makeup session at the end. The makeup artist came off very snooty. She didn't seem to have that much experience with women of color because my makeup didn't look like anything. My 6 year old could have done better. However the overall spa experience was nice.

Had a full spa day that was wonderful! I was able to have my manicure and pedicure done at the same time, they accommodated me by allowing me to have my eyebrows waxed in the spa during my color process time, and offered to order my lunch and have it delivered while I was still in my service. I felt pampered the entire time I was there. Real people pleasers!

I had a very nice, relaxing massage. Amenities were nice. The spa is very busy but my appointment was on time.

My husband and I had a couples massage. It was a good experience. It was, however, pretty noisy in the "relaxation" waiting area. Overall, very nice.

The nail techs are terribly rude. I don't think they realize that in America, people generally try to treat one another with respect. The ambiance is great! Facials, waxing services-great! I've gone there for two years. Can't withstand the nail techs poor service any more. Won't go back.
