Number of Spas and Salons Receiving Business from New Gift Certificate/Gift Card Division More Than Doubles

In January, SpaFinder, Inc., the leading generator of new business for spas, operated the world’s largest spa gift program, with more than 4,000 spas receiving new customers through the company’s gift certificate and card services. Today, just five months later, that number has increased to 7,200 – and much of that dramatic growth can be attributed to its newly acquired gift division, Spa & Salon Wish, which is sending new business to more than twice as many spas and salons since the first of the year.
Since SpaFinder acquired the Spa & Salon Wish (formerly Spa Wish) gift certificate business, the number of spas and salons participating in the program alone has shot up 140% – from 1,500 businesses to over 3,600. Recipients of Spa & Salon Wish gift certificates and cards use their gift for the treatment or service they choose at spas/salons across the U.S. and Canada, bringing a stream of new incremental business to these companies.
The growth in Spa & Salon Wish mirrors the continuing expansion of SpaFinder’s flagship gift brand, SpaFinder Gift Certificates and Cards, which now is accepted by spas in 65 countries across the globe.

This system, which is a first in the industry, expedites payment transfers to the spa or salon's bank account, creating necessary quick cash flow.
Kane also predicts that, given the popularity of the gift of spa and the strength of the program, the number of participating spas and salons will continue to surge. Spa & Salon Wish expands SpaFinder’s marketing scope beyond the $16 billion U.S. spa arena into the $40 billion salon market, which includes an estimated 400,000 beauty, skin, hair and nail salons across the U.S.
More than 30,000 North American retail outlets now sell either Spa & Salon Wish gift cards or SpaFinder Gift Cards, including Costco, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Staples, Shopper's Drug Mart (Canada), Rite Aid, 7-Eleven and American Greetings Card Stores. The gift cards are also available at AAFES locations (Army Air Force Exchange Service) that serve members of U.S. armed services and their families all over the world.
