SpaFinder Names Melissa Kessler Vice President, Gift Sales
Industry Veteran to Expand Gift Card Business
New York, NY – January 11, 2012– SpaFinder, Inc., the world’s largest spa and wellness media, marketing and gifting company, today announced the appointment of Melissa Kessler as vice president, gift sales. In this position, Ms. Kessler will focus on expanding SpaFinder’s corporate gift sales business, which provides gift card rewards and incentives programs to many of the nation’s leading businesses, including American Express, Delta SkyMiles, Best Buy and McDonald’s. In addition, she will oversee SpaFinder’s gift card sales in nearly 70,000 retail outlets across the U.S. and Canada.

Ms. Kessler joined SpaFinder in April 2010 as director, national accounts, charged with overseeing and enhancing the gift card sales business with a concentration in the retail sector. In her new role as vice president, gift sales, she will manage all corporate gift partnerships, affiliate sales and retail sales for SpaFinder Gift Certificates and Gift Cards, the world’s largest spa gift card/certificate program of its kind.
Prior to SpaFinder, Ms. Kessler was the director of promotions for Foot Locker, Inc. In her five years at Foot Locker, she oversaw and implemented national integrated promotions for the company’s five brick-and-mortar banners and managed the gift card business for over 3,000 retail locations, as well as its third-party gift card business. Prior to that, Ms. Kessler worked for Westwood One Radio Networks/Metro Networks, a Viacom company, in ad sales marketing and promotions, overseeing national on-air and online client-tailored promotions.
Ms. Kessler holds a B.S in TV/Radio/Film from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
SpaFinder also announced the promotion of Katie Sparks to corporate gift sales account manager. Ms. Sparks joined SpaFinder in 2010 as an account coordinator. She has advanced rapidly in the company and assumed her new position on January 2.
