25-year incentive industry veteran to spearhead company’s new Corporate Wellness Division and unique “Wellness Currency” employee motivation program
New York, NY April 24, 2012 – SpaFinder, Inc., today announced that Betty Weinkle has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Corporate Wellness. With deep incentive industry experience, Weinkle will spearhead the company’s new Corporate Wellness Division and its unique employee motivation solution for the $30 billion workplace wellness industry.
SpaFinder’s new division launches as employee wellness programs are gathering unprecedented steam. With employer healthcare costs spiraling out of control, and 75 percent of healthcare dollars going to preventable conditions, 66 percent of larger businesses worldwide have now implemented an employee wellness strategy – with 90 percent of U.S. corporations on board. And with study after study revealing that employee incentives are critical to program success (only one in five workers will participate without them, and they increase participation by a minimum of 60 percent), four in five companies now offer some form of corporate incentive reward.
At the core of SpaFinder’s Corporate Wellness division will be its comprehensive “Wellness Currency,” which allows employers to offer incentives that are both attractive to employees and also 100 percent aligned with health objectives.

Weinkle, who joins SpaFinder May 1, most recently served as area vice president at InteliSpend Prepaid Solutions, where she was pivotal in increasing profitability and channel partner growth. Prior to her four years at InteliSpend, she was director of corporate sales for The Sharper Image, where her small team built its $75 million, B2B division from scratch. She is the immediate past president of the Incentive Gift Card Council, a board member of the Incentive Marketing Association and was awarded the CPIM designation, recognizing accomplished individuals in the incentive industry. She also lives the wellness lifestyle, as a registered yoga teacher and a certified health and fitness instructor with the American College of Sports Medicine.
