New York, NY – September 12th, 2007

Starting October 31st, Grand Central Terminal will be transporting visitors not just to points north and east, but also to the finest spas across the globe.

For four days, The Spa Experience will transform Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall into a free hands-on spa exhibition showcasing 50 of the world’s premier spa travel destinations and spa beauty companies.

Presented by SpaFinder, the event will give the 750,000 commuters and shoppers who pass through the terminal each day the opportunity to immerse themselves in the spa lifestyle and plan and book a spa vacation.

Last year, more than 57 million Americans visited a spa. The Spa Experience will give spa the growing number of spa enthusiasts a chance to experience firsthand everything they want to know about spa travel and signature spa treatments.

Spas participating in The Spa Experience range from Tuscon’s Miraval, Life in Balance to Anguilla’s CuisinArt Resort & Spa to New York’s Emerson Resort & Spa. A current list of exhibitors can be found at www.spafinder.com/select/thespaexperience/exhibitorlist.jsp.

Additionally, four leaders in the world of spa beauty – Kama Ayurveda, Clarins, jane iredale - The Skin Care Makeup®, and MD Skincare by Dr. Dennis Gross – will transform the busiest terminal on earth into a center of bliss with “Spa Retreat Centers,” private areas where visitors can receive one of the companies’ signature beauty treatments for free.

“More and more people are interested in making their next vacation a spa vacation,” said Sallie Fraenkel, Chief Operating Officer of SpaFinder, Inc. “This is an extraordinary opportunity for travelers to learn firsthand which spa is right for them and to discover how to get the most out of their spa experience.”

Fraenkel added: “Our goal is for everyone to leave Grand Central not only refreshed and ready to take on the city – but also inspired to visit one of the world-class spas they experienced.”

The Spa Experience will also feature two Spa Presentation demonstration stages where visitors can experience the latest spa treatments and products.

Completing Grand Central Terminal’s spa transformation, restaurants and shops throughout the terminal will feature spa-related discounts and specials, such as special menu items, book signings, and product sales. Participating retailers include Aveda, Banana Republic, L’Occitane, Origins, and Papyrus.

Avon Wellness and The Cliffs Communities are presenting sponsors of The Spa Experience. Media sponsors include: Moffly Publications, publisher of Greenwich Magazine, Westport Magazine, and New Canaan-Darien Magazine; New York Moves magazine; Wainscot Media, publisher of New York Spaces and Bergen Health & Life; and Westchester Magazine.
