Okay, technically there's no spa at this private-island resort. But a stay in one of its six breezy villas has much in common with a good spa vacation: the relaxation that comes from unplugging in splendid isolation, the sense of rejuvenation from being in nature, the meditative calm of snorkeling. (The nearby Belize Barrier Reef teems with sea life.) Spa treatments, like everything here (poolside lounging, delicious torch-lit dinners), are done in-villa, but the menu covers the bases — a standout is the body scrub with coffee grounds and coconut milk — and the treatments are performed with care. Service is outstanding, a carefully calibrated mix of attention and discretion. — A.A.
