This is a double deal: a low package rate (from C$195 per person per night) and a slight exchange-rate bonus if you're not from Canada. Even the 90-pound-weakling U.S. dollar still buys C$1.02 (at press time). The daily rate includes three meals — and the food is superb — three activities, and brisk morning and afternoon walks through the lush grounds. Spa Eastman isn't exactly boot camp, but the fitness classes can be demanding. There are a couple of "you should knows" that you should know. First, this is Quebec, which means that almost everything — fitness classes, menus, evening seminars, signs — is in the native tongue of Catherine Deneuve and CĂ©line Dion. (Most of the staff is bilingual, so you won't be speechless if you skipped French 101.) Second, spa treatments are extra, but the quality is high and the price is still right, despite the recent surge in the Canadian dollar: C$80 (US$77) for a massage, C$75 (US$72) for a facial. And a good hot stone massage needs no translation.
