My Massage was with Laurie, she was very friendly and professional.

Might want to offer showers before or after and a full bottle of water after massage as thank you.

Called up Urban Retreat and Holly answered the phone and I asked her if there were any openings, she replied right now if you want to come, I can take you. So I got directions and went to the spa. I got there and they gave me a little form to fill out and list any medical problems. I put down blood clot and listed my health problems. I returned the form and sat down. Holly opened the door and called my name, she said come on in and noticed I was holding a Spa Fzinder certificate and everything changed at that point! She told me that because I had a blood clot that she could not give me a massage, that they didn't want to break up the clot. I explained to her that the clot is approximately 3 years old and is down in my left wrist and that the doctors feel that it's gone. That they had stopped giving me coumadin. She then replied that because I had two sores on my arm that she wouldn't be able to give me the massage. At that point I just got the feeling that this person is so unprofessional and just doesn't want to give me the massage with these petty reasons. I got up off from the table and walked out knowing that these were bad reasons since no other spa has ever turned me down.

To prove how wrong they were, I went to another massage place listed in Spafinder.com and they took me no problem whatsoever, no nonsense about clot or sores and they even stayed past closing time to finish the massage.

The sad part is that I was looking forward to Urban Retreat because they also had other services like chiropractic and such.

Boy, what a big mistake it was sending me off like that, huge mistake considering they work on commission and tips, once I find a place that I like, I general stay with them for a long period of time and use all their services.
