My husband got me a $300 spa finder gift card for our anniversary, which was almost enough for the Full-Day Lotus Experience ($330). I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend my whole gift certificate, but I figured I would go for it, since I wasn't getting any younger.

Ahhh.... I spent the day being carried on a velvet pillow from one treatment to the next. My face was clear and bright, my muscles were quietly humming and my hair and makeup looked like I was married to a Texas Oilman.

I was not in Yuma for 7+ hours, which is a very important point, if you've ever lived through a Yuma summer.

The girls at the front desk greeted me like I was there long lost sister and hugged me goodbye. Each technician took their time understanding what was important to me and making my day that much more special. I met one of the owners and felt like I was a part of the inner circle as we laughed about brazilian waxes and crusty toes.

When I left that day, I felt like I was about 20 lbs thinner and 10 years younger.

My husband already knows where to get my birthday present.
