Spada Salon and Day Spa
Better than nothing February 20, 2013
Spada continues to limp along. They have a good location, a good assortment of treatments, some pretty good employees, but is missing something...good management.
Too much chatter between employees reminds me of some little nail shop instead of a spa charging as much as $75 for a run of the mill "spa pedicure". The quality of the work wasn't the problem, the constant conversation among employees was.
Mud slide was ok. I've had mud applications before and this one was good but not worth repeating. For a while, maybe 7 years ago, the spa was well run and a pleasure to go to.
They benefit by being better than the rest in town. Not much of a recommendation.

Downhill Alert from a former fan October 23, 2007
Unfortunately Spa Finder does not allow a way to update prior reviews. I am using my original name although I have created a new account in order to do so. This spa used to be my favorite in SW Florida but has taken a drastic turn for the worst. They have lost a number of their aestheticians and massage therapists.
I treated a colleague to a massage and pedicure several months ago and her experience was dreadful. A poor pedicure with no massage, no cuticle work, sloppy polish and a slovenly nail technician. The girl giving the massage needed a few months of practice at Massage Envy before going to a full price spa.
The manager never returned my call and when I spoke to her in person she blew it off. This was shortly after I had spent over $2200 on a series of treatments and was otherwise a very good client of the spa and gym next door booking several treatments a month.
I am sorry to have to update my review and ask that Spa Finder either add this one, or delete my first one from earlier this year.
