Dermalounge San Francisco
Best IPL ever March 24, 2012 | 28 of 47 people found this review helpful
So I have been to the Dermalounge in Burlingame several times but was is my first time going to the one in San Francisco.
I was booked into the one in San Francisco because I was only home for 17 days for Christmas break and the Burlingame Dermalounge let the only person able to do IPL and filler and Botox and other services go on vacation for over 3 weeks around the holidays. Odd.
But it was their loss because now I will not go back to Burlingame. I had an appointment with Thomas. He is a PA and he has been in the business for years. He even used to own his own medi spa. Anyway the IPL was awesome and I had the best results I have ever had with an IPL. And he called the next day to check on me. I don't remember them ever doing that in Burlingame.
But seriously I have been to at least half a dozen medi spas for IPL over the past 7 years and this was by far the best. Very impressed.

A little gem February 4, 2010 | 23 of 42 people found this review helpful
I have been to The Estheticians once and I keep meaning to go back. It is a cute little spa in a renovated house. The prices are good and the quality as well. They are popular for their inexpensive peels.

You get more than your money's worth February 4, 2010 | 30 of 48 people found this review helpful
The owner Deanne is amazing. She spends a lot longer than the allotted time and is constantly attending to you. Her prices are as good as it gets, especially for the quality.
The space is a bit funky but if you want an awesome facial at a really good price then Esthetique is the place for you.

65 USD pedicure worth 18 USD March 24, 2012 | 11 of 23 people found this review helpful
I have lived in San Juan for almost two years so I know pedicures are expensive here and you get a lot less for your money then in CA.
I had a friend coming to stay with me from San Francisco so I wanted a better than average pedicure. I decided to try Zen Spa. Well the spa is very nice. It is what you would expect of a high end spa.
The pedicure which was supposed to be a spa pedicure lasted about 35 minutes and basically was cut, file, callous scrub, and polish. And the polish was only one coat and the manicurist got polish in my cuticles.
Basically I paid 2 USD a minute for a bad pedicure. I cannot recommend that service. Maybe other services are better but I will never know.
