Unfortunately, my experience did not go well. At all the other spas I have been to there were plenty of other people there but, they made me feel like I was the only one there. I understand that they are in the business to make money so therefore, they must have lots of customers. I went on a Sunday. There were too many people there. I felt more like a number. In the waiting area where we were sitting in our robes there were other guest that were talking nonstop excessively loud. I understand this is not the spa's fault however; several staff members walked by and didn't say anything to them. I finally told them to be quiet which the other guest thanked me for.
My services were going fine until the last service. Part of my package included a blow dry and style. They called this a blow away. It literally means a blow away. The person that washed my hair and blow dried it said it doesn't include a style. Now why would somebody want their hair blow dried but not styled? The person that did my hair attempted to style it. It was very obvious that she does not know how to do anything with hair. I have very short hair. She told me that she doesn't understand my hair so she couldn't do anything with it. She attempted 4 times to style my hair. Each time it looked worse then when I wake up in the morning. I finally told her to never mind. She said she would tell the check out person not to charge me for it since I didn't like it.
I explained to the check out person what happened. They said they understood. They did not attempt to correct it or offer any compensation. They stated that because I took up the time slot they would have to charge me for it and my service did not include hair styling even though my package clearly stated so on their website. Then they made the remark that the owner does not allow them to do services for free and they were sorry that I didn't like it. That comment made me very mad. I prepaid for my services including a 20% gratuity. All I wanted was what I had already paid for done correctly. I didn't appreciate them insinuating that I was trying to get something for nothing. Other then the very small changing area this spa is very nice and classy inside. The other staff members doing the services were professionally and competent. Unfortunately this incident along with the other guest ruined my experience. Hopefully this incident is not a normal thing for them. I recommend not prepaying for your services and try to figure out when there won't be a lot of people there.I would visit this business again? No
