Sanctuary, Covent Garden, The

The Sanctuary Spa at Covent Garden, London, is by all means a very well known spa. Somebody knows the spa from their product range, somebody is a regular, but I would like to share my ‘first timer’s’ impressions. Throughout the spa day I was overwhelmed by attention to clients, care and positive emotion all round. After a short briefing, changing into a robe, I was already sitting at the famous Koi Carp lounge and it seemed so serene and beautiful. I still had an hour until the treatment, so I explored the water facilities: swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. I think I had the most professional therapist ever, delicate and very attentive throughout the hour of the massage (not talkative!). After the treatment, I went straight to the sleep lounge to extend the feeling of bliss after the massage, my mind needed some tlc too. After the sleep retreat, which by the way helps to reach a new dimension of meditative state, I had my healthy lunch and just lounged around. The highlight of the day was: free skin consultation, what a great idea! With some great products in a bag (wanted them anyway just got an excuse to buy) jumped back on the train and took a little bit of the Sanctuary spa magic with me. Will I go back – of course!

Sen Salvation with Dr Zhou Wang! March 2, 2011 | 62 of 120 people found this review helpful
I have been to see Dr Zhou Wang for a wellness consultation at SEN at Harvey Nichols recently. Without exaggeration - I have been saved: or so it feels. After years of conventional medicine, the Chinese doctor immediately told the reasons I have not been feeling great, just after checking my tongue and feeling my pulse for a couple of minutes. Now, any skeptical individuals, I have been one too. I had an acupuncture session and pressure point massage after the consultation to aid my condition and was also given some herb supplements as I was leaving. I feel so much better, after just a couple of days now. Dr Zhou Wang is very professional and I kid you not really knows what he is doing. I would recommend anyone to book a session with him, just to see it for yourself –you will be in for surprise. I could not thank him enough! Plus if you need an excuse to spoil yourself during the lunch break, where else better than conveniently located SEN at Harvey Nichols.

Thai haven June 12, 2009 | 43 of 83 people found this review helpful
The Cove Spa is the Thai haven at the heart of St Albans. Friendly atmosphere, beautiful decor and authentic treatment rooms add to the experience. My treatment was the Thai Oil Massage with Mona, which was just what I needed. She is wonderful, professional and definitely an expert in what she is doing. Anyone looking for a truly well-being massage should book in! All in all a 5 star experience in beautiful surroundings, friendly atmosphere and great location!
