The location of this salon and spa is a neat historic building. It has the feel of a bustling salon in the front, but is slightly more relaxing in the back spa area.

I visited for a 30 minute massage and requested (on the form given upon arrival) that I prefer a deeper massage. The massage therapist was friendly and welcoming, but the massage itself was far too light. I kept waiting for the true massage to begin, and before I knew it the service was over.

The product and service selection at this spa is extensive, and quite impressive. They carry a good deal of Brocato and Aveda products.

My yoga practice is very new, so I was a bit hesitant about going to a group class. The instructor at Cityoga was down to earth, positive, and went out of her way to support and praise the effort of everyone in the class. She did a phenomenal job of explaining how to modify poses for more experienced students. I would highly recommend Cityoga!

I visited this spa for a 30 minute massage and had a wonderful experience! The other guest who came with me reported that his experience was wonderful as well! I will definitely be back.

I had a great deal of difficulty changing my appointment, and had to email the owner. She informed me that she had changed booking websites and that I would need to create a log-in and cancel and re-book my appointment through that. I did not appreciate having to take these extra steps, and did not feel it was addressed as proactively as it could have been. Customers w/existing appointments should have been notified of the website change.

On the day of my appointment the massage was good, but the therapist was more conversational than I would have liked, throughout the whole service. I did not want to appear rude, but was trying to send all of the signals that I was not interested in chatting.

Lastly, there was a hard sell to re-book at the end of my appointment, and several deals were offered. The pressure I felt at that time may have reversed any stress relief that I was hoping to achieve with an afternoon massage.

Sarah Trueb is a skilled therapist. I do wish, however, that the entire experience from the point of booking to the point of service could be a relaxing experience.

Sarah Trueb is an incredibly skilled massage therapist. She does great work at a reasonable price! Her location is tucked away in an office building near charming downtown Zionsville. While it is not necessarily a spa-like atmosphere her office is an oasis of calm and there is always great parking available!

I visited Design 1 in Grandville, MI for a manicure and a massage. The salon/spa is located in a strip mall and is definitely as much of a salon as it is a spa. The spa area is set off to the side to create a more relaxing feel, but you can't escape the salon noise entirely.

Robes, cucumber water, and toiletries are provided for your use.

I will be back for a manicure, but may save future massage experiences for a more truly relaxing day-spa atmosphere.

I visited this spa for nail services and found the atmosphere to be too unclean to consider returning. The towels were raggedy, the tools were very old, the chair and soaking tub were very old and worn. The walls were sponge painted but appeared unfinished. The decor was non-existent. The service professional did a nice job and was very thorough, but the facility itself did not meet my expectations. I absolutely will not return.

I went to g.michael for a brow wax. The service was short & sweet and a job well done! The salon had a surprisingly urban feel for its location.

My fiance and I treated ourselves to an outdoor couple's massage and it was amazing. The therapists were professional and incredibly skilled.

We enjoyed use of the eucalyptus steam room and showers before our massage. It was heavenly.

The hotel and spa are a bit dated, but the experience was lovely.

I was treated to a massage during a weekend trip to Bay Harbor, MI. Everything from the location, the amenities, to the service was impeccable.

There are plush robes and refreshing beverages upon arrival, and throughout the experience I truly got the feeling that it was okay to linger and lounge in the relaxation room.

I'll definitely be back!

I visited the Mandara Spa at the Loews Portofino on a Thursday morning, and I literally had the place to myself. I purposely arrived early for my reflexology appointment so I could enjoy the amenities (a perk with any service + the fitness room).

The facilities are a bit dated, but still luxurious. The women's lounge has a sauna, steam room and showers. Chilled washcloths & cucumber slices are available for the eyes, and chilled peppermint cloths are available for the hands, feet and neck. Robes and lockers are provided. Hot tea, chilled citrus water, and fresh apples are available along with a selection of magazines. A full line of toiletries is available for use including Bliss facial scrub, mouthwash, body lotion, deodorant spray, combs and razors. The showers are equipped with aromatherapy shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

The music throughout the spa was continuously soothing. There was also a consistent aroma throughout the whole place, and lit candles, which created a very pleasing and calming atmosphere.

The service provider was fantastic - but some of the front desk staff seemed less than thrilled with their work.

I checked out this salon around the time of their grand re-opening. I thought it was brand new because I had never heard of it before.

I received a hand massage treatment and it was wonderful. The pedicure seats overlook the rest of the salon and look wonderfully comfortable. I would like to return, but I am not certain that I would be willing to pay some of their prices, which, to me appear to be a bit steep. I might go back and give it another shot, though!

I had a phenomenal massage at Philipes this past weekend. The service provider was skilled and did exactly what I asked for. I would return to have a massage with her again.

While waiting for my service provider I was invited to have a seat in the lobby which was less-than-relaxing. There were 3-4 staff members working at the front desk who were chatting about phone calls that were coming in and about scheduling issues. Other service providers would come up and hang out at the front desk as well and chit chat and hang out for a few minutes. It wasn't until I passed through the door to the treatment area that I truly felt like I was at a day spa.

I also was a bit surprised to find that, upon entering my treatment room, there was a pile of dirty sheets on the floor that my therapist took with her when she left the room. She must have just finished up with another massage, but I would have preferred that they be removed from the room prior to my appointment.

I wasn't invited to utilize the relaxation room or locker room, perhaps this is not standard with 30 minute services. I will say, though, that for a spa that charges $55 for a 30 minute massage, I thought Philipes lacked a bit of polish.

I visited Philipes for a manicure and was impressed with the quality of the work. I was not, however, left with the impression that it is the type of place I could go for a relaxing spa day.

Their service menu and product line are extensive.

I received one of the best manicures and pedicures I have ever received. Katie did a phenomenal job, she was meticulous! There were times that I forgot I was getting my nails done because I was so relaxed and she was so gentle and thorough.

The decor is simple, serene and modern. I want to move in, to be quite honest. ;) Its gorgeous!

I'll be back the next time I need my fingers & toes polished...or whenever I need to escape into a peaceful environment for a bit of pampering!

The Spa at French Pharmacie is the ideal place for a group of gals or gents to prepare for a special event. The atmosphere is chic and chill at the same time and the staff are quite accommodating.

We had some scheduling glitches, but they eventually got worked out thanks to Kate the make-up artist / front desk coordinator's efforts. The services are priced very well. Our up-do's held up for the most part, but a few more pins or hairspray would have been beneficial. Overall, I'd recommend this salon.

The nail services & facial treatments are absolutely fantastic as well!

I wish I could pick up Transformations and move the entire facility to a less obscure location.

I have visited this salon/spa for a haircut and deep conditioning treatment on one occasion and a massage on another. I was impressed by all of the services.

The atmosphere is a bit dated, but the professionalism of the staff and the skilled nature of their work makes up for it!

If you go, give yourself a little extra time to enjoy the amenities. I enjoyed a massage (got a great deal on their website!) and lounged around the saunas, steam room and shower for a bit as well. I enjoyed the different aromatherapy oils that guests can blend for use in the showers, saunas and steam room. What a nice touch!

I booked a post-spa blow-out and the stylist was phenomenal. She was down to earth and easy to talk to. She gave me a great style.

I can't wait to return on my next trip to Vegas!
