nice decor, but service is just ok November 10, 2010 | 4 of 10 people found this review helpful
The decor in this spa looks very luxurious, despite being smaller than many other full-service spas. Parking is by valet, which makes it seem even fancier (although you can park down the block at the mall for free). The vibe inside, however, wasn't very "zen." I felt the service was mediocre. The actual spa treatment was good (I got the South Pacific Creme Body Polish with Coconut Milk Bath Infused with Passionflower). The polish left my skin very smooth, but it was kind of awkward washing it off in this tiny tiny shower within the treatment room. The lotion at the end was applied by massage, which was heavenly. Before any of that started, the appointment process took a long time because the girl on the phone thought there were times available when there weren't so we had a lot of back-and-forth. When I got to the spa, nobody offered to show me around - you even have to get your own robes and slippers from the piles. The guy who did my treatment talked a lot during it, which make it much less relaxing. I also lost an earring while I was there; I called about it the next day, but the person did not seem very concerned. I even told her the specific treatment room I had been in, so they could check, but I never heard back.I would visit this business again? Yes

My boyfriend and I got clay & sandalwood wraps here. This service was highly recommended, and it was fine but not great. The atmosphere and surroundings were nice and peaceful. But for a spa in desert hot springs, the hot mineral water we tried to relax in before the treatment was not up to par. The water was barely warm and we had to wait almost 15 minutes for it to heat up (and it still wasn't hot enough).I would visit this business again? No
great deal November 10, 2010 | 1 of 2 people found this review helpful
I usually go to the Urban Retreat location in Hacienda Heights, but stopped by the Claremont one because I was in the area. This location is also terrific, and these Urban Retreat prices are probably some of the best you'll find. Although it's not a full-service spa, they are really attentive and the treatments are very therapeutic.I would visit this business again? Yes
great day spa August 17, 2009 | 6 of 10 people found this review helpful
I LOVE this spa. It's totally affordable (1 hour massages starting at $45). I recommend booking with Reanna (I think she's the manager). I had a facial with her and she was really attentive. She explained everything she was doing, and it completely open to suggestions/feedback. Also, since my skin was dehydrated, she suggested a follow-up facial one week later - pretty much the whole facial procedure (1 hour) plus a free foot scrub for only $20.
The outside of this place isn't so nice, since it's in a strip mall type plaza that is just a little ghetto. But once you get inside it's nice and clean and relaxing.
Will definitely be coming back for monthly facials and occasional massages.I would visit this business again? Yes
