Cielo Spa Boutique
adorable cottage spa March 15, 2010 | 12 of 26 people found this review helpful
Cielo Spa Boutique is located on upper State Street in a quaint little cottage setting. The front room is small but fragrant and inviting with all kinds of products such as lotions, beautifully scented candles, bath robes, and more. The staff are all very friendly and personable, and the Swedish massages we got were wonderful. I booked an appointment for myself and two friends to get massages, and though Cielo is a small spa, they were very accommodating and saw us all at the same time. We all left relaxed and refreshed. I would definitely go back to Cielo for another massage, and next time I think I'll pick up one of the candles.

Beautiful but Pricey February 8, 2010 | 34 of 65 people found this review helpful
I have gone to Essentials for a few massages and my favorite masseuse is Christina. I recently decided to try something new and attended a complimentary SkinCeuticals anti-aging and NARS make-up application event here. The event would have been perfect if they had not been so booked with appointments for high-school girls' hair and make-up applications for a winter formal dance, and they seemed understaffed for the amount of clients that showed up for the event. It was disappointing that there was some confusion about what time my appointment started and then when I had them reschedule it, I still had to wait over an hour for the services I requested. After I had the skin consulation, which went really well, I had my make-up applied, which was not as impressive as I had hoped. I say definitely go to Essentials for a massage, but be picky about who does your hair and make-up here. It is a very beautifully decorated spa and they offer quite a lot of services.
