I decided to try this spa as Red Door was booked. It is a lovely facility and my technician for my pedicure and manicure was very sweet and the experience was enjoyable. I will go back. However, the spa has only been open for a few months, and a few things need to be worked out. First of all, the prices need to be available on the website, as well as the fact that at 20% surcharge is automatic. Secondly, I was greeted quite oddly, being asked if I had enjoyed my treatment ? There were several persons at the desk but I was simply told to wait. I was NEVER offered anything to drink, and finally had to ask for some water (they offer an elixir, with fruit in it, that was really nice). I wish they were more professional, but I did enjoy it.

I have a lot of medical issues and the other Spas I have tried in the Richmond area have left me in incredible pain after their massages. Red Door is expensive but I would rather have a massage every few months that really helps to heal my pain and relieve my stress than be limping! I have also treated myself to two facials there and felt like a pampered princess. the warm cream manicure is a fairly affordable treat. I did not care for the hairstylist I used on one occasion, but the facility not only arranged for my hair to be redone, but took the charge off my bill!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them, and suggest that a gift card to their facility is an awesome present.

I posted the review about the couples massage and am really shocked at the response. We were not offered any shower or changing facilities. The receptionist was lovely but the overall appearance of the salon is not very appealing. The parklike setting is a parking lot. And my masseur made me sore during the massage. I have had a lot of massages and normally feel refreshed and revived. I am very aware of the need to drink water. Again, spend a little more and hit the Red Door or Aura. Don't patronize this place with its misleading ads and statements.

Last December my spouse and I decided to get a couples massage at Kneading Therapy. It is not a prepossessing place when one visits, being at the back of a strip mall. The receptionist was pleasant, but the facility is very small, with no changing area or shower area. The washer, dryer, and dirty linens are in the hallway. My spouse enjoyed her massage but I was left stiff and sore for days afterwards (I have a lot of arthritis). I would NEVER go back here--I will pay only slightly more for much more professional and well-kept facilities.
