Aqua Day Spa

I really liked the massage that I got here and found that the therapist was professional and willing to adapt style to desired parameters. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. I would suggest that the spa change location to a more favourable area to round out a great experience.

It just makes sense.... November 23, 2010 | 49 of 98 people found this review helpful
I went to this spa after reading all the nice things that people had posted about it. The staff is friendly and they have great training. Parking may be an issue since there is only limited parking up front. I found the shower room adequate and clean and the rooms quiet. My only complaint was that I had booked a treatment well in advance and then was told the same morning that my therapist didn't do that type of service, even after confirming the appointment and making a schedule change..it was a little strange but with all the issues in my life this is the least of it, I simply changed the type of massage and everyone was happy.

Exceptional in every way August 6, 2012 | 1 of 1 people found this review helpful
I'm not sure why there are negative reviews on this spa. I found everything to be exceptional. The therapist, the services, fitness options and classes all seemed great to me. The cleanliness is top notch, the massage rooms were quiet and I couldn't have asked for a better experience if I tried. This spa has healthy living in mind and all of the amenities revolve around the concept. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and attention to detail is certainly here. I've tried other high end spas like the Lapis and the Mandarin Oriental and I have to rate this one best of the bunch so far. I went with a group and everyone shared the same experience.

a lot more than you are hoping for.... September 4, 2011 | 123 of 244 people found this review helpful
This Spa is just like heaven. I went with two other friends and I don't have a single complaint. Huge locker rooms with great reception areas and relaxation rooms and the amenities are just incredible compared to other spas in this category. I loved the rain room and the co-ed pool. You can also enjoy the pools outside with the pool pass which is an added plus. It's definitely worth the trip and you won't be disappointed. Everything was clean and impressive and the therapists were super friendly and well trained. Great, and you know it!

Very close to the best July 29, 2010 | 167 of 341 people found this review helpful
I love this spa. The second time around was actually even better than the first. At the moment the spa is being renovated and that was sort of an awkward plus because guests are being automatically given a step up in the suites. Everyone has the utmost respect and service was great all around. It's plush without a doubt and the crew is very experienced. Drawbacks are the rather small pool and hot tub area.

tarnished but recoverable.... September 8, 2011 | 65 of 131 people found this review helpful
I've been to this spa twice just to make sure to get a well rounded opinion. First let me start with the good parts: all therapists are professional and do a good job and the therapy rooms are nice. Now the not so nice part: this spa should be on the same level as other spas in the area (Tempo, Mandarin, Exhale and Icon) but falls short in a few areas. This time around I found tiles falling off of the steam room, and the room not working properly. Not all the staff had answers regarding spa issues (how to use certain amenities). In the change rooms I found no napkins to dry hands and the shower floors were questionable and the towels had an awkward smell. The robes are not plush like in other higher end spas. No cups in the relaxation room for water and no water in the dry sauna made me feel that the spa is not mindful of details. With a little bit more attention I feel this spa can dramatically improve what they have to offer and make their services more appealing.

Being Objective April 22, 2012 | 6 of 9 people found this review helpful
I found this spa to be rather small and lacking a lot of features that larger spas enjoy. The spa does have the advantage of having a nice staff and well trained therapists. I had a communication problem with my therapist but it wasn't anything that deterred me from the experience. The waiting area is my main issue, it's close to both change rooms and the bathroom and I don't think it's a good idea. During my session I could clearly hear people talking loudly in the halls/waiting area and it distracts a bit. Prices are fair and everything else was nice.

A little awkward but a whole lot of fun September 15, 2012 | 1 of 1 people found this review helpful
This spa is a bit interesting and tricky. I'll start with the good points. Jacob the therapist was great, this guy knows his stuff and is constantly asking to see how music, sound, comfort levels, etc. are to your liking. The spa has great water amenities including the roman waterfall hot tub, the arctic plunge pool and the main pool. It overlooks the bay and there are small places to just lie down and relax. The hammam is great and the soak tubs and steam rooms are clean and inviting. Now, the part that I feel another guest may not like. The spa is really divided into 3 levels, the 1st floor pools, the lockers on 2 and the spa on 3..so get ready to do a lot of walking around. Also parking here on busy days is a complete nightmare, so don't say I didn't warn you. You should like this spa, I feel it's above average, but also feel the prices are high compared to the competition.

High Class with a few minor issues July 16, 2012 | 1 of 1 people found this review helpful
This Spa is a great overall package. You get a lot for your visit including the pool and the fitness center. The massages are done in a very relaxed environment and the therapists were great. There are a few little minor issues that need to be attended to: the shower in the men's room is a trickle. The day I went there was no water in the relaxation room (quickly resolved though), no water bottles and the water fountain wasn't working correctly. I also find that the relaxtion room is a little small. Overall you won't be disappointed and the spa is impeccable.

Great Spa! June 23, 2011 | 53 of 95 people found this review helpful
I took advantage of a promotion that was being advertised before Spa Month at Tempo. As a first time guest I was impressed with the flexibility of the staff to get you booked, show you around and make you feel comfortable throughout the whole experience. Victoria my therapist was great and I feel that this spa offers a lot for the money. Steam room, various pools, sauna, and great change rooms.

One or two things missing but don't miss it October 11, 2011 | 31 of 57 people found this review helpful
I liked this spa but found some things that can be improved to make it a great spa. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. I don't like the fact that there didn't seem to be a shower and for me a massage isn't complete without one before the treatment. There is however a tub (additional price, but worth it) treatment that compensates. It's a small spa but it's nicely laid out. It's a little awkward that there isn't a separation (that I saw anyways) between the actual back rooms and the hallway to the reception area which makes it feel exposed especially if you have to walk out to an audience. A good effort and I walked out happy.
