Sphatika Experience provides a relaxing respite in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world. However, if you have not experienced an urban day spa, it may seem not as relaxing as one based at a resort. There was still just a little too much of the outside world inside the spa. Perhaps it was due to a little too much sunlight blaring into what was supposed to be the relaxation room. My big disappointment occurred when they called to tell me that the service I had signed up for was not available. They recommended something comparable, but I did not think it was close enough to the experience I had hoped for. They also promised a 20 percent discount on my next treatment. This would be a nice gesture if I lived in NYC, but I was travelling, so it will be a while. Can't wait to take them up on the discount.
