While the salon is aesthetically pleasing, the aura is filled with tension. The owner, Amber Holland, is very moody and needs a lesson in professionalism 101. I had been going there for over a year, so I felt I gave it my best shot. Each time I arrived she was generally 20-30 minutes late, which happens, but when there is no apology for the inconvenience or when you are watching her file all her nails instead of greeting you to begin on time, that's just tacky. Each time I've sat in her chair, there were constant interruptions. She will take phone calls while cutting or highlighting your hair, she will stop and go to the front desk, get on her computer, chastise or correct an employee then come back and complain about the situation. She has left me in her chair to talk with her boyfriend at the front door or outback and not even excuse herself before or after.
She increased her prices without any notice. Nothing was posted at the front desk or at her station or an email. Was it only for select clients? When you are paying those hefty prices, you just want to be treated right, as though your business matters. I noticed that how she treated clients differed either because of her mood or who you were. And to top it off the last 2 visits resulted in a my base color being changed and not at my request. Now my hair is back to the very color that it was when I started to see her that we worked on correcting for about a year. I should be able to ask her to correct it, but when I mentioned that the color looked different, she said it was the same...But it wasn't...I really wanted her to correct it, but from my observations over time and her response when I noticed the color was different, I didn't feel she would handle the situation in a professional manner and did not want to be the brunt of her frustration with my not liking the color. So it was time to move on....I hope that if she reads this, she will take the time to reflect and consider that all clients are different but should be treated the same with kindness and professionalism in an effort to please, so that your business will grow & prosper beyond your expectations!!!
