My friends and I go to Spa once a month to relax and unwind. We have gone to many different spas in the last 3 years. AboutFaces in Timonium, MD didn't quite pass our standards. The lounge area is not as relaxing as we would like it to be, although white or red wine is available to enjoy other than the usual tea or water in most places. Ambiance before and after a massage is very important to have a total relaxing experience.

If you are new to Yoga, this is a good place to start and enjoy your experience. The place invites harmony and inner peace. Whether you are young or old, their noobie (beginners) class is perfect to learn meditation and basic yoga moves.

I will come back for more.

It must have been last summer of 2010 that my friends and I went to visit this spa. I went to get my usual massage which was okay. Prior to this visit, my friends and I were at The Pearl in Columbia the last two times we went out to relax and unwind. (By the way, we do this once a month and we have been doing our "Spa thing" for the last 3 years now.) We were expecting the same type of service where we could go in a few minutes early so we could change into our robes, sit in the lounge area drinking our hot tea while waiting for our service. The only thing that we missed was the hot brownies with whipped cream that is served at The Pearl. The lounge area was not as big as The Pearl but at that time, there were not many appointments so it was comfortable.

My girlfriends and I go to Spa once a month as part of get together so we can relax and unwind. This place is one of the spa places that we had tried when we started. Believe me, if you have gone to many places to get a massage, you know the difference - facility, staff, treatment, you name it. I can honestly say that this place was not as clean as I had expected. The part that I really regret that I chose this place was that the masseuse was a smoker. I could smell her breath and her hands smelling like astray while she was giving me a massage. It was gross. We have not gone back to this place.

My girlfriends and I have been coming to this place since we started our monthly spa rendezvous. We go and try other Spa places but we kept on coming back to The Pearl in Columbia. I think it's because we get spoiled when go here. The wonderful lounge, great service and friendly staff make a big difference with the others.

Because we have been doing this for that long, each has her own favorite spa to go to. Mine is The Spa at Turf Valley. Between my girl friends and I, the lounge area is a key factor to go back. I just love the cozy, relaxing ambiance at their lounge while looking over the beautiful valley, sipping my favorite Tazo Green Tea, waiting for my massage. Although they do not offer red or white wine at the lounge, the sauna at the facility is a good addition after a good massage. I definitely looking forward to going back here.

The place is clean and has a good atmosphere to relax. Almost every time I visit to get a massage, I get different massage therapist because the one that I am used to is in training or not available. With that I've tried different therapist and each has her own style. Among the many times I've been here, there was only one time that I was not satisfied. This was when the therapist short me 5 minutes on my massage.

Recently, they closed their sauna and eucalyptus room which are my favorites. I go here with my girlfriends because we enjoy those amenities. Now, we will have to find and try other spa places.

Unlike the Spa in the Valley, this place has no other Amenities.

So, my girlfriends and I decided to get a pedicure here last Dec 30 2012. I was not fully satisfied with the amount of $$ I paid because I felt that I was rushed. I was the first one to finish where my girlfriends had longer service. BTW, we all had the same pedicure service.
