I had planned for weeks a special 10th anniversary weekend...I searched on SpaFinder for spas in the DFW area and finally selected the Pure Spa in Frisco because of the variety of their anniversary package for the price...which still wasn't cheap...I choose a package that was $575. I called and scheduled my husbands and my appointment 3 weeks in advance. I called 5 days prior to the appointment to confirm everything (I wanted everything to be perfect) and the owner at first couldn't even find me on their appointment book but after searching for 15 minutes, she found me...but I had been booked for something different...just a 60 minute couples massage. WHEN I scheduled the appointment, I had the scheduler repeat everything to me and they made me give them a credit card to confirm (in case I cancelled without 24 hour notice). I told her I had been scheduled for something else but she didn't care and didn't even want to see what she could do (even though I had the man's name that took down all of my information and scheduled the appointment). I was distraught but cancelled my 1 hour couples massage and began frantically searching for something else. I never stepped foot in the facility so I can not attest for the quality of the massage but their customer service was enough to make me cancel and start searching again.

From the Spa Owner: We are sorry for what was perceived poor service and partly could have been. I (the owner) was the person who handled this cancellation by the client. When booking this appointment ShannonS asked to delete the complimentary meal included in the package and requested a discount. The scheduler reported that he was not authorized to issue any type of discount however, the meal was complimentary. As for holding for 15 minutes, on the call back, that is not good policy and we apologize for that but I recall it being a shorter wait time. It was very busy and there was some difficulty locating the client as the appointment was booked into a slightly different spelling of the name. That booking person is no longer employed here. In my conversation the client requested again some sort of discount for deleting the complimentary meal. I pointed out that the price I offered was $555 not the $575 quoted in the review, even though the meal was complimentary. I could sense the frustration building either because of the hold time or perhaps a communication difficulty (my accent) but as soon as the client requested the cancellation I accommodated her and credited back any booking fees. We will offer this client the opportunity to come and try us again. I would ask potential clients read the reviews of people who have been to the Pure Day Spa and make your judgment from the reviews of clients who have tried our services first hand.

I scheduled a "spa day" for my husband and my 10th anniversary with another spa in Frisco...only to call 5 days before to confirm everything (had 90 minute massages couples scheduled along with 60 minute facials, catered lunch, jacuzzi, roses, body polishes and mani/pedis (around 5-6 hours)) only to find out the spa had changed everything...so I cancelled with them and called Michelle in desparation and she was wonderful...and rescued my planned Spa day with my husband. The facials were great and the massage was wonderful...Michelle even had chocolate covered strawberries and a yummy chocolate cake brought in as a treat (and wine) in between our massages, facials and body scrubs!

I would visit this business again? Yes
