Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa- Spring Lake
great experience August 27, 2010 | 27 of 56 people found this review helpful
My daughter and I splurged and had a luxurious evening (love those evening hours) at Hand and Stone in Spring Lake--complete with a charming receptionist and fantastic massage therapists. I was nursing a pinched nerve in my back, and the massage helped enormously. We will definitely be back.

It took a pinched nerve in my back to get serious about finding a therapeutic massage therapist, but wow--I had no idea what a difference it would make. I've had several massages before, of the "chain" variety--and they were nice--but Lily Pad is on a completely different planet. For one thing, the healing effect of the massages has lasted a lot longer than the temporary relaxation afforded by my other spa experiences. Everyone on the Lily Pad staff seems to approach this work as a calling, not just as a job, and it shows. This was my first experience with a spa that focuses on healing, and the difference it makes is jaw-dropping (and wonderful). Rachel offers the most uber-professional massages I have ever had. She has over-the-top interest in her clients, and real expertise in the healing arts. The whole place--which, next to the senior prom, offers the most coherent exercise in interior design I've ever seen--exudes warmth, humor, and deep spiritual care (not in a flaky way)--kcd
