Body & Mind Spa
Great deals, great experience, great staff October 21, 2010 | 30 of 58 people found this review helpful
The only "ding" is that it's more bare bones than your resort spas. If you're looking for that ultimate pampering, then you won't like it here. However, if you're just looking for a quiet, comfortable and satisfactory experience you will definitely enjoy it and be a repeat customer. I've been here for facials and massages. I think they recently upped their prices a little, but it's still better than, say, Aveda/Heaven on Earth and definitely better than any of the hotel prices. I've been to the hotels and some services were actually disappointing. You won't be disappointed here.
My mom's been to several spots with me and even with all the fancy services and treatments she loves coming back to Body & Mind for the facials.

Great for a stop after a day of shopping October 21, 2010 | 23 of 49 people found this review helpful
It's located in the mall, uptown. Went in a few times just for the chair massage - the staff surely know what they're doing! The price is also nice. For a chair massage they really are thorough (once after shopping; a few times after a vball tourney). Well worth the money. Also did the room (couple thing) once. It was nice, but there are only two rooms for now. Only did massages, no facials or anything else.

Don't just take my word for it... October 28, 2010 | 107 of 235 people found this review helpful
The only time I went was back in 2003 - several years before this site existed I'm sure! It's been a while, but I can tell you that the service is... OK. They were VERY VERY busy when I took my mom on a weekday morning. Don't get me wrong; it's Hilton, so the hotel was nice as well as its amenities (jacuzzi, sauna, pool, showers, etc). However, the price tag that comes with it leaves much to be desired. Price aside, you sit around waiting for your room to be ready. Meanwhile, it looks like such a busy place, kind of noisy, service staff walking back and forth. Felt more like a factory than a relaxing day I wanted to enjoy with my mom.
That said, the massage therapist I had was EXCELLENT. I think she specialized in yoga/Thai-type massages, because she did all these different stretch and placement positions that no other masseuse has done prior or since (I've had more than my share). However, they do lament about how crappy their pay is and that they get a percentage of whatever products you buy... Yeah, idk.
The aesthetician who gave me the facial was young and polite but not very sociable. Whatever, she did a pretty decent job I thought.
I would go again... on someone else's dime.

Bang for your buck!! September 7, 2011 | 32 of 63 people found this review helpful
The thing is, they provide a rare professional service - CHEAPLY priced massages comparable (and even cheaper than) individual MT! The decor is little more than bare bones, but the upside is that it's simplistic and relaxing. The MT are genuinely happy with the company's infrastructure, and they provide decent massages. Nothing crazy fancy like scented oils (Aveda, hotel lines) and seaweed wraps (Heaven on Earth, etc) or whatever, but they do the job! If you just want some quick fixer-upper or maintenance, it's excellent for just that and with a nice price tag attached to it! Only downside is the parking. Street is best, so be sure to bring lots of quarters or even catch the bus if you like.
