Looks good on paper, but does not deliver

I tried this place several times because it is in my neighborhood, they carry some of my skin care products and had some good specials. I had a great massage so I decided to go back even though the front desk was lacking in experience and courtesy. I had a gift certificate from my boss and had another massage, not as good as the first, but passable, then owner came in to do my facial and completely ignored my request to have a non chemical peel treatment. She tried to advise me into a more costly treatment that I told her repeatedly would damage my skin. She was clearly trying to upsell over my gift certificate. When I decided I didn't want to spend my gift certificate with a facial I didn't want, she told me I couldn't leave because I'd scheduled it. I tried to get my nails done instead, but she wouldn't have it. I told her I was uncomfortable and she wouldn't back down. I walked out and was glad I did. The place has become more and more tacky in appearance and I'm glad I never went back. There are too many good spas here.
I would visit this business again? No
