A Lackluster Spa Day

I had visited this spa a few times for two massages and a facial, and I enjoyed it enough each time to go back. It's not a fabulous spa with tons of amenities, so don't go expecting to be blown away or leave feeling hugely relaxed. The person I scheduled with recommended a different massage therapist for this past spa day, and I really regret going with him. It was an extremely uncomfortable hour. The massage was hugely underwhelming, and the therapist was incredibly awkward. My facial that followed just made things worse. Don't expect to see or feel any difference in your skin after having a facial here, it just feels like a series of lotions and masks applied to your skin and wiped off with a warm towel. Nothing productive for my skin has happened here. They do massage your hands and feet, which is a nice touch, but if I'm going for a facial, it's because I want to see results on my face. I'd recommend Chase for a massage, and Diann for a facial, but I wouldn't recommend any of the other therapists. I feel like I wasted my time and money. As I was checking out, I found out that a gift certificate I had given to the front desk upon arrival had been misplaced. This was just the icing on top of my very lackluster spa day.
