After more than a decade, my Mom and I still eagerly anticipate our yearly trips to Miraval. Months before, we start deciding on our spa treatments and schedule, awaiting our return to this serene and non-judgmental oasis.
And we are greeted as returning family by the staff, many of whom have been at Miraval for years, and take great pride in their history with this magical place.
The peaceful and beautiful setting seems to have sprung up naturally; but we all know how much hard work and fine-tuning goes into on operation that runs as smoothly as Miraval.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention Michael Tompkins, who heads this operation. Michael's genuine enthusiasm for his work - and his deep commitment to his guests - shines through and permeates the environment.
The wonderful offerings at Miraval continue and grow - and that's besides the terrific food! New and unusual treatments enhance the traditional choices, and evidence a spa that is not willing to rest on its laurels.!
I"m already daydreaming about our return!
