This spa is the gold standard of service. Though the parking is confusing, once you are inside, it is truley a slice of heaven. The atmosphere is clean, professional, and beautiful. The waiting room amenities are the best I've ever seen and you can stay to lounge on the stretch lounge seats and indulge in the complimentary snacks for as long as you like. This is all on top of the terrific facial that I received by a very knowledgeable woman. She even did a skin analysis for me and recommended helpful products. I highly recommend this spa and look forward to returning for a special occassion.

I was thinking about writing this review DURING MY SERVICES, which illustrates how strongly I feel about my experience. I have limited space, so I'll try to make it brief.

PRO: They were accommodating when my party was late because we couldn't find the place.

CON: We couldn't find the place due to poor signage.

PRO: The space was nicely decorated.

CON: It's located on the second floor of an old, dingy office building, the floors hadn't been vacuumed, the floors creak, the walls are paper thin so that you hear people talking in other rooms, and they share a VERY DIRTY BATHROOM with other tenants on that floor. NOT spa-like.

PRO: The massages were very good.

CON: The facial was not. The internet descriptions said it included extractions but I did not receive any.

PRO: Reasonable prices.

THE ULTIMATE CON: Spa workers who were not performing my services walked in my room to get materials during my treatments, not once... not twice... but FOUR TIMES! I expressed my discomfort with the situation after the second instance and finally asked if my room was a storage area during the fourth. This was certainly NOT relaxing or professional and it is the ultimate reason why I will not be returning to this "spa".

The Livermore Spa was a plesant surprise located in a space that looks like a house. When you walk in, it is a full service spa with lovely and professional decor. While it is casually operated by the people providing the services (no office manager to greet you and efficiently get you in and out) the services are certainly worth the visit. Both the facial and massage I received were very relaxing. I will likely visit them again.

I took my mom here for 90-minute massages and we were not impressed. It seemed like both of our massage therapists were tired even though we received afternoon services. My therapist took an extended amount of time to even enter the room to start my massage. Then, despite my requests for more pressure, she was barely getting into my muscles. At one point, I thought she was taking a break because my massage seemed to stop for 5-10 minutes for no reason. When it came time for her to rub my feet as I requested as an area for extra attention, she focused on my legs and barely touched my feet until I gave her more direction. All in all, these frustrating aspects ddi not make for a relaxing expereince.

The massage I received was very relaxing. The theripist clearly knew what she was doing and I liked the massage. Unfortunately, I had to wait several minutes past my appointment time even though I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled time. This would have been understandable had the time not come out of my massage. I always check the time right before and after the theripist enters and exsits the room on my phone and on the clock in the room to ensure I get the full alloted time, particularly if they run late. Though I of course cannot be 100% sure, I think she moved the minute hand on the clock in the room to create the appearance of giving me my full time even though it seemed that she shaved 5-10 minutes off of my massage based on the time from my phone.

Have you ever looked forward to a relaxing expereince only to miserably suffer through it with no remedy? You will if you go to this spa. I went for a massage, which was nice, but the room was freezing. I asked if the heat could be adjusted and unfortunately was told that it could not be changed. It was uncomfortable to say the least and when I called this problem to the attention of the person accepting my payment, I was offered no remedy other than free sample packets of a few lotions! I certainly will not be returning.
