Laurabella Health and Beauty Day Spa
Not really spa standard September 17, 2011 | 32 of 57 people found this review helpful
I have just visited the Laurabella Day Spa and have come away with very mixed views. I booked a microdermbrasion facial, salt body scrub, eyebrow wax, pedicure with gel overlays and a manicure. The treatments themselves and the staff were 100% so if you are rating this spa based on that alone, I would definitely re-visit. The biggest thing that let Laurabella down as a business is the word SPA. I have visited places like Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa which is a 5* spa and other spa's in Dubai and all have been second to none. To me a spa is complete break from the everyday hustle and bustle however at Laurabella, you are moved from room to room to have the differing treatments. It is very old fashioned decor and unfortunately I even have to say, unclean. There was muck on the floors and the walls needed re-painting. The room in which my manicure and pedicure was completed was an outdoor wooden summerhouse which had dirty counters, un-hoovered carpets and felt quite cold. One lady sat on the floor whilst I had the pedicure done and half way through another young lady did my manicure which meant that I had to be twisted round for her to reach my left hand. It was very uncomfortable but that is the set up rather than the therapists.
I would visit this business again? No
