In Style Hair Nail Spa
Masseuse not available...at any location. December 27, 2011 | 21 of 39 people found this review helpful
I attempted to call Waterford, Avalon and University to schedule a massage for a Saturday. I was open to the time but with 3 kids, Saturday was the only day I had available.
None of the salons had a masseuse available and on my last attempt of reaching out to the Avalon salon, the receptionist offered to schedule it for another day besides Saturday, when I declined her offer and stated I needed a Saturday she said "oh well, you may want to check somewhere else then".
The lack of availability and customer service in this supposed "spa" is a clear sign that I will never go there for any services, let alone a massage. It seems they are like everyone else, an overated hair salon disguising themselves as a "spa"; they may be good at hair, as I read in the other reviews but to not have a masseuse available at any of their spas on a Saturday nonetheless is pitiful. I am happy to say I didnt waste my money here.

Superb massage, sneaky business tactics January 10, 2012 | 24 of 43 people found this review helpful
I received a spa finder gift card for Christmas and chose this place based on the reviews.
As others states, it is a diamond in the rough. Off the busy road of E. Colonial, it is nothing impressive outside. When you walk inside, it is simplistic but nice. The key goal of the gift card was to obtain an incredible massage, and that I did. The masseuse was excellent in all she did, using the full 55 minutes to the best of her ability. She even stretched some of my body parts (arms, legs, toes) which left me feeling incredibly relaxed and like a limp noodle following the 1 hr., and I mean that in the most complimentary way.
NOW, my issue, and this is no reflection on the staff but more the Management. When I called to schedule my appt. I asked the cost, I was informed $55 for 55 minutes, very fair price. I informed the girl I had a spa finder gift card and asked if there was anything additional I needed to do, she stated no.
When I went to check out, they charged my $75, explaining that they could not honor the "$55 special" because they needed to recover the cost that spafinder charges them for listing their business. This was extremely frustrating. I would go there again but without the spafinder gift card.
