Bliss Dallas

Bliss was good, but I prefer a more calming atmosphere April 11, 2012 | 25 of 50 people found this review helpful

I got the carrot sesame body buff and reflexology. I liked both treatments. The body buff left my skin super smooth. Both of my therapists were very nice. The one thing that I think needs improvement is the atmosphere. I tend to like my spa very calming and the stark white wall, and clean lines just didn't give me that "at the spa" feel. The waiting room felt like a doctors office. The snacks in the waiting area were nice. I would come back for the unique treatments, but I just didn't feel like this was my kind of spa.

Hiatus Spa + Retreat - Dallas

It was good, once I got to sit in the lounge April 13, 2012 | 16 of 36 people found this review helpful

When I booked the appointment, it said to come in about 15 - 30 minutes early to let yourself relax before your treatment. I decided to come in 30 minutes early since I have been have been really busy at work, and I really needed some down time. I was really looking forward to relaxing in their lounge. After I checked in, I was told to wait in their retail area, and my therapist would come and get me. I was a bit disappointed that I would be sitting on a hard stool for 30 minutes waiting for my appointment. After about 20 minutes, I got some tea and was asked if I wanted to wait in the lounge, and I said yes. I am not sure if this is how it normally goes at Hiatus, but as an avid spa-goer, this was very different from what I was use to.

For the price, my mani-pedi retreat was great. I love the anti-gravity chairs, the headphones, the blanket, and the eye pillow. The sensory journey was a nice, relaxing touch. My therapist was very attentive and knowledgeable. I loved just being able to drift off, and wake up to cute hands and feet! I have had better mani-pedis elsewhere, but it was a great deal for the price.

I will go again to try some of their body treatments, and hopefully I will be able to relax in their lounge a bit longer!

Tallgrass Aveda Spa and Salon

This is by far one of the best spas I have been to! We went there for a company retreat, and I had the chakra pedicure and a massage. I loved looking at the cards, and smelling different scents to figure what chakra was out of balance. The charka pedicure was one of my favorite pedicures, and I wish more spas offered it. I had my massage next, it it was one of the best massages I have ever had! I had Sarah! I was amazed how relax I felt, and how in-tune she was. Most of the time when I get a massage from a person for the first time, it is not that great because I feel they need to get to know the pressure I like and my muscles, but Sarah what really in-tune to my muscles and pressure right away!

I love this spa, and would absolutely fly to Colorado, just to go to Tall Grass again!
