I highly recommend it! I also recommend arriving early to shower and indulge in the sauna/steam rooms before your massage. Combined with the tranquility of their lounge area, the Ballantyne Spa is steeped in peace and healing. I can hardly wait to go back!

Highly Recommended July 10, 2012
I have to admit that I was a little skeptical to try this place; but boy was I surprised! The service is exceptional, the staff is friendly and knowledge. Plus, t's a great value! I have spent almost three times the amount (on a massage) that I spent at Hand & Stone but have not been nearly as pleased with the results/service. Hand & Stone has earned my repeated business and trust!

Not very welcoming and kind of pushy July 10, 2012
I recently ducked into this salon/spa to inquire about their services and to see what kinds of products they offer--just to browse and get more information. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted. I explained what I was there for. As soon as they realized I did not have an appointment, the demeanor of the ladies at the front desk changed. They quickly answered a few of my questions and gave me a booklet of services. After thanking them, I walked away from the desk to take a look at their products for sale. They kept asking me if I needed help/wanted to book a treatment (even though I repeatedly explained I was just in to look around and get more information). I got the feeling that since I had not booked a spa service, I was not welcome to even look around. That or they were trying to get me to spend money even though that was not my goal on that particular day.

I received one of the regular body massages, and it was out of this world! The masseuse took the time to get to know me and my issues; then he proceeded to work out every kink in my body. WELL worth the time and money!
The service, on the other hand, was well below what I expected from a world-class facility. When they had trouble processing my SpaFinder gift certificate, they acted as if it was my fault and tried to make me pay outright for the service. Once another lady came over to help and got the certificate to go through, that lady apologized. So, my problem was handled on the spot (once I requested that someone else try to process the certificate); but it did not come without a lot of frustration and not-so-kind words from the first staff member who tried to help me. Furthermore, I noticed that staff members were conversing with and regularly assisting many of the other spa-goers; but I did not receive the same treatment. In fact, only one staff member checked in on me during my visit. I am wondering if the ones who were treated so well were members; and since I am not a member, perhaps they felt as if I did not deserve to be treated as one/potential one?
