Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa
This is gold in those hills.

Among the tourist trappings in NE Georgia are gold and gem mining places. After all, the first gold rush in U.S. history took place just up the road in Dahlonega GA. However, today I found the biggest gem in all of these hills. Based on an internet search and a hunch, I found myself at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa with an appointment for a deep tissue massage. The place did not disappoint. It's off the beaten path...and by off the beaten path I mean you get there via a gravel road. You wind your way up the mountain through dense laurel thickets to emerge at the top of the hill with the most spectacular 360 degree view of the mountains. I felt relaxed before I even entered the front doors. The massage was amazing. The prices were more than reasonable and the treatment rooms are luxe. I'm going to be one of their new regulars.
